NIGHT 1: The Beginning of the End
It was a cold and dark night. Not that nights here had ever been particularly warm, but this one more so. It was almost as if something was making it colder. Some of the villagers huddled around a campfire, eating their supper and trying their best to stay warm.
One of them was about to get much warmer than he ever wanted to.
A large gust of wind suddenly swept through the city and put the fire out. The villagers scrambled to their feet and readied their weapons. A muffled scream could be heard, and then chants from a dry voice going “Hup Hup Hup!” By the time anyone could restore light, the villagers were scattered.
That missing soul was dragged through the night to the island’s nearest volcano, where a skull warrior dumped him unceremoniously out of the bad that had been used to transport him.
“What is the meaning of this? Who are you, and what do you wan-” Ekorak stammered. He paused when he saw who had captured him.
“Who am I?” the Skull Illusionist asked, rhetorically. “Why…I am…YOUR DOOM. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…ahah…aha…ahem”
Ekorak cocked an eyebrow.
“Actually all I’m really hear for is your heart and a ritual sacrifice.”
“Wait, what?”
Before Ekorak had time to protest further, the Skull goon had ripped his heart out and dumped him into the volcano.
Ekorak, Defender, killed by Skull Illusionist
“YOUR SOUL WILL BE MINE!” the skull warrior proclaimed, as he prepared to devour his victim’s heart. Unfortunately, this particular villain was clumsy at best, and the heart slipped straight out of his hand and into the volcano.
“…fudge.”

The next day, when order had finally been restored, the villagers assembled to discuss last night’s event. After a brief deliberation, it was found that four of the remaining residents had not been seen immediately after the lights were restored, and thus, it could only have been one of those four who committed the murder. There was also something about each one that made them suspicious in their own right. Finalized, the list read:
Chro: Always clumsy and prone to drop slippery things, like hearts
Millsy: Obsessed with people’s inner organs
John Smith: Moonlighted as a kidnapper once
Yink: Had a weird obsession with collecting people’s souls
The villagers began deliberating amongst themselves as to who to kill, knowing that their decision was one of life and death.
