If Otoko, which is very similar to Okoto, means ‘man’, is this foreshadowing to the whole giant robot mystery?
According to the files, BIONICLE still means BIOlogical chronICLE. Giant Robot confirmed?

Correct. The explanation that the name came from their biomechanical nature was what the story team said to avoid spoiling the GSR Plot Twist too early.
So… This is what happens when I leave the boards for a few days…
Anyways, it all sounds okay - not sure I like the name “Okoto”, but at least it separates this story from the old one. Still going to take this with more than a few grains of salt, though.

Hopefully the island of Mata Nui will not disappear from the story. Otherwise, I don’t mind having a new place to explore and discover.

I just don’t think it fits Bionicle. In the past things have had a certain style of names, and this one just seems a bit out of place to me.

Maybe the elements are in “perfect balance” in Okoto, and the LoSS and the Skull Spiders wish to disturb that balance. The residents of Okoto (probably the Protectors) call for the Toa’s help, and they travel to the island (?) to stop them.

I don’t think they would do anything like the previous twist. There might not even be a twist at all.

I’m willing to bet there will be a twist again. I’m pretty sure LEGO knows that mystery was a big part of Bionicle and would like to repeat something like it.
