Orde’s one of my favourite G1 characters and I like how his story arc, while never completed, had been set up to be quite an interesting parable about identity and fitting in. http://i.imgur.com/JNpOuCu.jpg
The reason he looks like a Tarix revamp is because I’m writing a small fanfiction-style story where Tarix accepted Orde as his kind of disciple after Orde killed Velika and was ejected from the Toa. More word on that when I make some headway, but it’s shaping up to be a cool short tale. http://i.imgur.com/KUAq5FT.jpg
I wanted a kind of berserker type look for this guy, and for him to look kind of like a son or brother to Tarix. http://i.imgur.com/7EjX7U8.jpg
Like the well-worn and battle-scarred helmet, I also gave him Tarix’s axe and thornax launcher. Wasn’t sure what else I could really do with him. I still quite like him. http://i.imgur.com/I9jqZEx.jpg
Also shoutout to this incredible edit by Zach X which makes the character look way better than I could have ever made him.
Well, that’s my take on Orde. If you haven’t got a clue, he’s a character from The Yesterday Quest, one of the unfinished G1 story arcs. It’s a decent read with interesting characters, but a little sloppily written.
Very nice! I like your interpretation of Orde! He looks almost paladin-esque! I love the use of the Unity pieces and the golden Skull Villain add-on (which I used in my own rendition of Orde, interestingly enough). The weapons are also neat, and the backstory involving Tarix is cool!
Also, where on Earth did you get that plain gold HF chest? I need that badly!
Thanks! I hadn’t seen your Orde, but admit it’s odd to see two come out in such a short time-frame to both use that part, albeit in different ways. Also, I used an eraser to rub off the chest and lightly scratched other parts of the print off with a blunt knife. I wouldn’t recommend bothering; it was truly arduous. Although, the golden chestplate is great to have now. If you’re going to do it, I’d definitely advise you get a hard, coarse eraser as I’d think it’d work much faster than a softer one. Thanks all!
He kind of was though. He was one of the first Toa - probably the second - without any real team, and the only male Toa of Psionics.
Too much gold 0/10

But I honestly think that he needs some more dark blue. He’s suffering from Tahu Uniter syndrome. Aside from that, my only complaint would be that his arms just look a teeny bit stubby. Great job!
I like Orde, and I definitely like this MOC. Traditionally Toa of Psionics are yellow, not gold, but obviously yellow pieces aren’t easy to find, and it works with the story you’ve put together. I look forward to reading it when you finish!
I feel like this long after G1 ended, it’s important for a MOC artist to strike out on their own and add some genuine personality to their stuff. Thanks though! [quote=“OraNui, post:12, topic:24955, full:true”]

I’ve also heard that the arms are stubby, but I think they’re just bulky as they’re very proportionate, anatomically speaking. Other than that, you’re absolutely right. [quote=“pizzacheetah, post:16, topic:24955, full:true”]

Glad you like the MOC, but that’s not correct. Both BS01 and the Bionicle Wikia state that Ce-Toa were blue and gold. Thanks very much, though!
