They were mentioned in MNOG. They’re based off of Maori gods with the same names, if I remember correctly

Papu and Rangi

[Papu and Rangi] Here’s some lore I wrote about these two: Papu and Rangi were some of the great beings tasked in helping in the Great Spirit Robot Project. Papu (left) was tasked in designing the environments of the GSR while Rangi (right) was tasked in designing the Red Star and he based the Kestora after his own image. While Papu doesn’t have any equipment on her, Rangi wields a mini version of the Red Star that has the same abilities of the Red Star but at a smaller power, it can also teleport him to the Red Star. Credit to the chest armor and masks goes to Galva and Vahki6
