Phaedrus, Toa of Plasma

In the Post Reformation Era of Spherus Magna, Phaedrus emerged as one of the first generation Matoran, and later Toa, born into the new world alongside their Glatorian hosts. Though he did not live the experiences of the Protodermans within the Great Spirit Robot, Phaedrus deeply honors the stories of the Toa before him and reveres the legendary Toa Nuva who now lead the Protodermans in New Atero, building trust and relations with the Magnans. Seeking to follow in their example, Phaedrus joined the Octerran Guard, rising through the ranks with his new brothers.

Unlike other Toa of Plasma, Phaedrus struggles in projecting his plasma powers for long range uses, but more than makes up for it with his mastery in close range combat. His weapons of choice are two tonfas, made of a specialized metal to help channel his abilities. With these tonfas, Phaedrus can produce two large orbs of plasma he can manipulate at will with extreme accuracy, creating a unique offensive and defensive fighting style.

Phaedrus’ mask power is the Mask of Shade Projection, allowing him to send forth a hard-light projection of himself. This projection is an extension of his will, able to attack or defend. Though the shade projection is devoid of any elemental powers, its physical combat skills are just as deadly as Phaedrus himself.

This moc took about 2 months to make. A great thanks to @WholesomeGadunka for teaching me his methods of moccing.

The weapons are based on Warframe’s melee weapon, the Ohma.

The mask is a custom mask called the Kanohi Za.

you can never go wrong with orange and white

Very good shaping on this fellow. The orange, black and white color combination works decently, and identifies this fellow as a Toa of Plasma without any room for doubt. I didn’t even realize the lower legs were built off the Piraka ones until I saw it from the back.

Nice work!

Thank you @Ghid and @anime_athena !

Glad you guys like Phaedrus. And yes, he is a fully legal build with combinations of technic and system.

Where’d you get those shiny blue parts on his weapons?

I painted it with Tamiya light metallic blue spray paint. It turned out to be the perfect blue I needed to mimic the metal on the Ohma from Warframe

After looking that up, you definitely matched both the shape and the colour:
