Pocket Voodoo Nuhvok

A Bohrok moc to go with my pocket Toa moc’s and scale with them. It has an action feature where if you push on a lever on it’s back it’s arms go up. If a toa hit’s it in the eyes it’s krana will burst out. Finally, it can roll up into a ball, as a bohrok should. Also small detail, it’s face is supposed to kook a bit like a mole snout.

I had an made earlier attempt (seen below) but I was unsatisfied with it. It couldn’t roll up into a ball, it had no articulation in the arms other that the action feature and the krana kept falling out. So this moc is a revamp to fix what I didn’t like on the last one. This was helped when I used the bohrok head dome peace, realizing that it actually didn’t look too bad on a smaller body like I had originally though. After I incorporated it into the moc, everything fell else into place. I can say that I am happy with this re-attempt at a pocket Nuhvok moc. I am also happy I was able to make two of them for a mob effect.

As I said, I also wanted to make to make sure it could roll up into a ball, and it can! with the added benefit of being able to hang it from a gali hook, making it look like it is hanging, as if it was in it’s cocoon.

A side by side with a normal Nuhvok. This moc is only slightly shorter, surprisingly. But I am still happy with the results, in that it is slightly shorter than a pocket toa, which was what I was going for. The vanilla bohrok were either slightly too big or or the same height for the taller ones.

That’s adorable! Definitely works nicely as a Bohrok to go along with smaller Toa. I could also see this being a slightly different species co-existing with normal Bohrok in-universe, maybe created to clean smaller spaces.
I just think that the Technic connector used as its nose looks a little out of place. Perhaps you could incorporate the two teeth somehow?

Maybe? the connector was supposed to look like a nose though…
It is also part of my plan to give the pocket bohrok different faces, along with different builds. The original bohrok being clone sets was a pet peeve of mine.

If I were to connect my pocket mocs to the wider cannon, I like the Idea of them being on their own island away from the main plot. They just so happen to be on an island the looks like Mata Nui, while also having similar adventures and trials that the Toa Mata had. With the added twist that instead of fighting shadow toa, they fought a rouge toa team, of course. And the rouge toa team would not be a one off encounter like the shadow toa were.

It’s really hard to look at these guys and their visible snouts and not see this:

It’s not too surprising that they’re only slightly shorter than the original, as they use the same leg pieces and the torsos are barely different in height. I’m not sure you and I have the same definition of ball, as their curled-up form is noticeably non-spherical, whereas the original could roll with extreme ease. They also lack the head-jutting function, which was one of the most iconic parts of the Bohrok.

Overall, it’s a nice start for the concept, and I hope the next iterations of the design incorporate more of the Bohrok’s more dedicated elements/features.

John Firetoa I feel you with that reaction :fist: :pensive:
