Yeah, I’m not surprised by that

No Popplio, you suck

And here we have Fire/Fighting Litten’s final evolution, with the others to match

What have you done
The thing is, mega evolution is just a combination of evolution and held item usage. That’s not a gimmick, that’s a main feature. Last I checked, they’re still adding competitive items every generation, and they also give Pokemon evolution lines every generation. I think Mega Evolution really needs to be treated by fans as the temporary evolution that it is, rather than as a gimmicky transformation.
Also, as long as full two stage evolution lines that still suck even after evolving for a second time still exist, Mega Evolution should and will always be around.
Also, XY already had a battle gimmick, inverse battles. ME is here to stay.
Not really exited about the name
I’m pretty sad they don’t have a squinty-eyed kid as the main character, considering the Pokemon Professor is like that.
The trainer designs are beginning to bore me, TBH. I wish you could customize them more.
you mean get rid of the anime eyes?
As if.
No I mean, you can have the same style, but goodness I wish there was more variety with these guys.
Most of them are just kids with a hat, backpack and some cool-looking clothes.
There has to be something else they can do. Even having different traits would be cool.
Nah, he wants facial customization options. Like, the ability to change your eye/face type and such.
I’d like to be able to choose our age, and skill level personally.
Well I mean
character customization was introduced last gen
and it’s only bound to be expanded upon
so really I fail to see the issue.
I really hope so.
Because I would love to see some wacky designs by people.
The thing is, this is the second game with potential character customization, but it seems even less varied than X and Y. At least the protagonists in X and Y were a lot more age-neutral than previous protags. The ones on Sun and Moon look about eight or nine.
I dunno
they look about the same to me.
is a huge step up from this;

Besides, one of the biggest things from X and Y everyone agreed on was “Character customization: Aces. Just give us moar pl0z.”
and so I’m certain Game Freak will respond with a solid: “We gotcha, fam”
Also, do any of you guys remember the backpacker from X/Y? The guy who gives you the Strange Souvenir “from a region far away from Kalos”?
Seems like it was a hint to S/M, maybe the third legendary, or a lower legendary?
When Nintendo filed trademarks for Solgaleo (the lion) and Lunaala (the bat), they also filed for the term Gigareki, but it is unconfirmed what it is for.
My theory is that Gigareki could be the name of the legendary that is depicted by the souvenir. I wouldn’t be surprised if it did, or didn’t, turn out that way.
Possibly
but my theory it is based on the Eclipse
Gigareki could possibly be like the Regigigas to Alola
A sleeping Titan depicted by souvenirs and tales
If it helps, it looks like the hat can be removed now…
Actually that part was probably at the start of Sun and Moon. X and Y started with something similar. Once you get the hat, you’re probably not allowed to go hatless. I don’t think I’ll ever call Pokemon’s customization good until you can change your face up. Everyone looks the same in X and Y, the only differences are clothing, hair, skin, and eyes. Even then, no one looks unique enough.
We’re probably not getting any major customization changes in Sun and Moon, so I’ll keep my expectations low and hope that they at least have 16 different hairstyles for both men and women each, combined with broader apparel options for men. Women had quite a few choices, but men were limited to t-shirts, long shirts, and t-shirts with over shirts. Women got vests, suits, dresses, tanktops, t-shirts, the whole shabang. What if a guy wants to wear a suit or a vest? Why were the fancy options gender exclusive, and why were the male “fancy” options stupid casual wear!?!?
(Alright, I’m probably too passionate about this, but I wear vests in real life. I want proper representation!)
