The PROJECT: HERETIC armor was designed for infiltration operations, using a combination of lightweight materials and advanced technology to grant increased stealth. It features a powered exoskeleton for the user’s legs, increasing running speed by up to 5 miles per hour. It also allows for compatibility with Covenant cloaking technology, as well as standard Elite armor plates for field repairs. A notable addition to the armor system is a pair of gravitic repulsors on the leg armor, allowing for greater leaps and low-altitude flight for up to 3.5 minutes. Finally, the helmet features a tactical HUD with thermal and ultraviolet vision capabilities, as well as bodycam and targeting systems.
This armor has not been authorized for use by humans, nor has it been tested outside secure research facilities. Use is currently authorized for field-testing under ONI document 1076.32§33 for allied Sangheili units.
