I’ve been messing around with a recent pickup, the Kamen Rider Kiva-la Figuart, so I decided to take pictures of random poses, including some of a Gundam kit. Click on each image for the full picture, the boards may auto crop it.
Some pretty great photography, in my opinion. Particularly a fan of the first two, although I find the code on the bottom of the foot to be rather distracting in the second.
Not a fan of how the Gundam looks in photography, but maybe that’s just me. Far prefer the Kamen figure.
Pro-tip: chunky mechs shouldn’t do high kicks, it looks silly and awkward.
I think you’ve got a knack for dynamic shots, especially when it comes to posing, you should try playing with the camera angles and framing more though.
Believe me, it can look pretty good in some shots. Most of the Gundam ones were taken because I was having a challenge with someone else on the boards in limited time. If more time was put, it’d probably look a lot better. That second to last one was literally taken just to show a friend of mine how Tamashii Stages can work with models.
