There isn’t a short word for 1,100 or 1,200
I say ten hundred when I’m counting up cable quantities. No point in adding a new word for one specific spot; eight hundred, nine hundred, ten hundred, eleven hundred; it’s smoother, I can use it absent-mindedly, and it allows me to stay focused on my work

Because “ten hundred” is the same amount of syllables as “a thousand”, but “eleven hundred” is shorter than “one thousand one hundred”

Whenever I’m dissecting stuff these days (yes, I dissect stuff, but only for a few weeks) my brain just has to ask me how it would taste, despite all of the preservatives on the animal that would probably kill me.

I think I can actually try to answer this question - the term “cooking” refers to products such as meats and other raw foods, whereas “bake” I believe refers to prepared substances such as cookie batter, cake mix, or other such confectionary items.
