I had a pretty decently sized family. Just making your own sauce can actually go a very long way, especially if you add seasoning and spices.

Probably true, although honestly I don’t make pasta a whole lot when I make meals. It’s usually something that’s simpler and easier to make really well, like chili or chorizo with beans and rice.

Grandma’s tomato sauce is the best (it was even better when my mother grew the tomatoes) and my mother’s ragu is the best. when they cook their sauces you bet I’m gonna eat lasagna, pasta and gnocchi for a long time.
