Cass quickly takes the Player’s orders before placing down a spice shaker and four small earpieces. Once she left, the spice shaker caused a stir among the players as it isolated the room around them.
Cass returned to the booth after several minutes with their meals and some other items before “Helping” the team get started. Pulling out an unknown device, she activated it causing an enormous explosion to rock the diner, sending the Players and NPCs into action.

At one point, Altier has been tasked to help Pat McElroy turn off the gas meter in the alleyway on the west side of the diner. When turning off the meter, Altier notices this woman across the street; her phone out, looking as though she was taking his photo. Before he can react, she vanishes from view as a fire truck passes by

Lore: As the players are listening to the “Info Broker”, the spice shaker stops filtering the sounds of the outside world; allowing some static to come across the Player’s ear pieces. This interruption is brief (less than a minute) before the spice shaker filters out the sounds once more.
During this time, Oswin is able to perceive a transmission sent in Binary Code.
The Info Broker seems to have received the same transmission, mentioning that a fifth member has joined the group.

At one point, Oswin exits the diner to see Chief Presley rush into the road and push a couple university students out of harms way as a speeding ■■■■■■■■■ narrowly misses them.
Oswin rushes over to help Chief Presley as the incident, offering the man a hand to lift him to his feet. Chief Presley recognizes Oswin (not explaining how or why he does) offering Oswin advice before crossing the street once more to help in the response efforts.
