Salvation: Part II

He might also see Redstocker’s group arriving in the same time, and looking at him doing his things without trying to stop him, as a sign that they might be with them.

Wildsong, meanwhile slowly started backing away from Bludgeon. She wasn’t even understanding why she was doing so, it was only that the discussion that she had with the leader of the heretics really shook he minds up.

Laslow quietly watches them, drawing his own conclusion.

Zepar blocks with his shield and tries to follow up with a pommel strike to Lockdown’s face.

“Tell me on the way.” Epsilon said as his optic turned red and began trying to advance toward the Key’s location: a large tower at the port that seemed to fit what could be considered a control tower.

Spectrum nodded and followed Laslow. [quote=“ProfSrlojohn, post:4076, topic:49995”]
Laslow tracked them silently.

Spectrum continued following.

Scorchlock would have attempted to throw in another attack but Bludgeon dashed backward and transformed into his alt mode that was a cybertronian tank.

“Scrap…” He ducked and rolled out of the way, getting closer towards the tank before and attempting to jump on it.

He would use the same trick as he did with that Heavy Trooper and place the grenade on top of Bludgeon before jumping away and taking his detonator and triggering the grenade to explode.

Sprocket gives a quick, energetic nod.

“Uh… yeah!” he says, as if the answer should have been obvious.

The yellow Mercenary dies instantly, and falls over onto the ground.

Gronius would be unsuccessful. The Mercenary fires a volley of shots at him.

Scorchlock would be unsuccessful, thus rendering the rest of his attack invalid.

As Scorchlock jumps, Bludgeon reverts to robot mode and deploys the spinning blades on his right forearm. The twin energy swords produce a stuttering hum as they cut through the night air, and Bludgeon swings the weapon at his opponent as he falls.

The strike connects, and a harsh snapping sound is heard as a spiderweb crack blossoms on Lockdown’s visor. The bounty hunter staggers backward, retracting the visor to expose his scarred, green-eyed face.

Lockdown looks up as eight beams of yellow energy strike the beach, carving paths in the sand as they cut apart the advancing troopers behind him. The Death’s Head ceases its bombardment of the shore to aim its weapons at a new player on the battlefield: Nova Prime.

Facelift transforms.

“That thing in Nova’s chest is a piece of the Emberstone, right?” the mad doctor asks.

Blight was still fairly startled, but he wasn’t injured.

“Right, let’s go” and he began striding down the hallway in the direction that he thought would lead him to the Bridge. If he remembered the layout of this class correctly.

–‐------

Laslow tried to get a good shot at Lockdown, but he was at too extreme a range for a good shot.

Laslow moved in closer, and tried again to line up a shot with Lockdown’s head, if he could.

“A-game you alright?” she asked him.

Alterion would dhoot at his head before he would seriously damage Gronius.

Redstocker and Delta lunged at the nearest troops.

Scorchlock narrowed his eyes and took his katanas out and blocked his twin energy swords with his katanas.

“You didn’t think that will take me out, did you?” He rhetorically asked before breaking the lock and swung both his katanas in a x motion across his chest, attempting to damage him.

The Armageddon’s layout differed from that of your standard Worldsweeper.

Up ahead, the clanging of metal feet marching down the hall could be heard- a detachment of troopers no doubt headed their way.

“Okay, call me a coward,” Sprocket whispers, “but I though the plan was to get these guys’ attention. I’m having some doubts about our ability to seize a giant dreadnought crawling with bad guys.”

Lining up a good shot would prove difficult, what with the chaos engulfing the beach. Nova Prime had managed to steal the attention of the Heretic forces, most of whom were now firing up at the disgraced Prime. Nova, however, dispatched them in droves with his rifles, as his feather-cannons cut the enemies apart. The Death’s Head’s weapons were now targeting him, as well.

The nearest troopers were three mercenaries, who raise their rifles and fire at Redstocker and Delta.

The mercenary is slain.

A Heavy Air Trooper fires a missile from their shoulder cannon at Gronius and Alterion.

Bludgeon roars as he swings with his arm, and the spinning blades flash as they shatter the blades of the katanas, sending shards of the weapons flying through the air.

The two hide behind a boulder and shoot at them.

Seeing that all this time the two were near Bludgeon, they (or at least Alterion that then pulls Gronius behind him) jump behind the Decepticon leader fighting Scorchlock. They (or at least Alterion) don’t expect Bludgeon to take all the damage, but at least most of it.

Bludgeon hears the scream of a missile streaking toward him and transforms to vehicle mode, reducing his height and allowing the missile to safely fly over him as he rolls away.

The mercenaries evade the shots. Two transform into helicopters and fire machine guns at Redstocker and Delta from above.

OOC: Uhm… For one, I am not sure if he would be able to transform that faat, and for two…
IC: With Bludgeon to safe place, the only one remaining in the missile’s way would be Scorchlock, presumably in front of Bludgeon.
Gronius flew away, as Alterion followed Bludgeon’s example and jumped to the ground next to him.

Blackbeak jumped on one of them and started breaking into the engines with his mandibles.

OOC: transformation is a very fast process in this universe- kinda like in Transformers Prime. It’s an almost instantaneous action.

IC:

Bludgeon rolls onto a hill, firing his tank’s fusion cannon at Gronius while sending a missile of his own at Alterion and Scorchlock (@MichaelBT-7474)

The helicopter reverts to robot mode, likely throwing Blackbeak off them as they drop back onto the ground.

The remaining mercenary in the air continues to shoot at Delta and Redstocker, the bot’s altitude rendering whatever cover the rocks afforded our heroes useless.

The two mercenaries on the ground fire up at Blackbeak.

As Scorclock’s katanas meets with Bludgeon’s energy blades the clash, due to his other one being acid damaged, shattered but the other did not.

He slightly pulls back and looks at his damaged katana. “Oh, you’ll pay for that,” Scorchlock growled at him as he placed his broken one back on his back.

“Ah, bolts.” Scorchlock transformed into his alt-mode and drove out of the way, nearing himself towards the hill at Bludgeon’s right flank, before transforming back in an instant and aimed with his forearm blaster at Bludgeon and began firing.

“They had to get in the way, didn’t they?” He muttered to himself, as now he wasn’t as close to Bludgeon as he wanted to be. He needed to close the gap between them fast, but he needed an opening.

“You might be right, let’s fall back.” He said, motioning down to a side hallway behind them.

Laslow continued to observe through his scope. If he could make a shot, he would, if not, he’d simply watch.

OOC: Yes, but wouldn’t the missile be at least as fast?

Gronius was high in the sky, while Alterion jumped into the crashed ship.

They dodge and scramble towards the rest of the team.

Blackbeak, small as he was, would be way too fast for the two.

The shots leave round, black burns on Bludgeon’s armor, but the damage seemed only cosmetic. The warlord reverts to robot mode, and with his left hand he draws a cylindrical device from behind his back. The tube transforms, merging with Bludgeon’s forearm to become a cannon with a stout barrel ringed by cells that crackled with electricity.

Bludgeon raises the electric cannon, and with a sizzling CRACK!, he fires a shot at Scorchlock.

OOC: if y’all’s characters can dodge lasers, Bludgeon has enough time to dodge a missile.

IC:

The pulse missile hits the ground where he once stood and detonates, producing a shockwave that shakes the ground around the crashed shuttle. Some of the troopers around the wreck are thrown off-balance, and the wreck itself sustains more damage from the tremor.

The helicopter gives chase, still shooting.

Laslow might soon have more immediate concerns. Delta and Redstocker were inadvertently bringing their pursuer closer to the motorbike’s position.

The two keep shooting.

Surely we’ll hit it eventually, one thinks.

Laslow would hear the commotion, and turn around, pulling up his rifle.
