Salvation: Part II

Thrift and the technicians follow after Zepar. Before the group, a hologram of Hyperbora materializes within the aperture of the open door.

"You have proven yourselves worthy of the Omega Key, and the treasures stored within this vault," she proclaims in ancient. She sweeps a hand behind her, down the hallway.

"Great technologies and mighty weapons await inside. May they help you on your journey."

Tailspin nods.

Zepar and Garand nod respectfully to the hologram as they direct the team to follow them farther into the vault.

“Thank… You”
Broadwing replied. He left the medical station and made his way back into the maintenance tunnels.

He wandered through the empty halls, looking for something. A haunting memory. A mistake he needed to confront.

In time, he found what he was looking for. A body. A familiar orange and yellow dragon bot. His optics dark and lifeless. A large and jagged hole was in his chest, right where his spark chamber was. Lines of dried energon falling from it.

“Friend… I’m sorry…”
Was all he could bring himself to say.

SideStep rubbed his chin.
“Motherboard, can we set up a hidden camera to monitor the spy’s nests?”

OOC: turn your volume up for this one; it’s a little quiet until the last few seconds.

The destruction on the outside of the vault continued into the corridor. Hills of dark earth covered the rusted metal floor, and rocks and tree roots burst from the ornate walls, wrapping around warped columns and statues of kneeling knights. Some of the statues had been ripped apart, their swords strewn about the floor. The lights in the ceiling flickered faintly.

The corridor branched off into a network of halls, their walls lined with large circular portholes sealed with ornate doors that stubbornly resisted the vines’ attempt to pull them open.

“Affirmative, crewman SideStep,” Motherboard replies.

“Great, thanks.”
SideStep exits the nest and makes his way toward Caedia’s location.

Pixel nodded and looked around. “P=p-p=play?”

Zepar and Garand instruct the team to, with care and caution, try to open the various portholes, map out the complex and gather and record what they find.

“Y-yes! S-s-sure!” Spectrum replied cheerily.

Thrift instantly starts pulling at one of the portholes’ covers, while the other technicians begin to search for active consoles to access. One finds a terminal sticking out of a mound of dirt with a flickering hologram displaying quivering above its pitted surface.

Caedia would be halfway back to her hab suite, arms crossed.

“YaYY!” Pixel laughed and began speeding towards the hangar.

Zepar and Garand stick together while Epsilon was with Thrift as the team explored the complex.

SideStep, in vehicle mode, speeds past Caedia, skidding to a stop a few meters in front of her. He transformed and looked around.
“Whoops, there you are.” He said. [quote=“ToaNoah_Wafflemeister, post:8751, topic:49995”]

Sprectrum giggled as she sped after her brother.

Thrift shoves the porthole open, snapping the roots and vines that had grown over the seal. Inside was a circular room, in the center of which was a pedestal displaying a pair of missile pods.

“Well, that’s getting logged.” Epsilon said as he went to collect it.

Caedia pauses, and looks at him with a confused manner. “You were looking for me?”

Pixel combined his sprint with a series of vaults and flips as he approached the exit of the craft, snickering playfully.

“Yup.” SideStep nods.
“Do you happen to know anything about a spy?”

Spectrum transformed into a ball and rolled after him, making Terran race car noises.

The missile pods were free for the taking. A holo-screen appears above them, describing their payload in neocybex: the pods fired volleys of micro-missiles, and were meant to be attached to a cybertronian body. They were equipped with a targeting system that allowed the missiles to track up to three separate targets.

After spending some time with Torchwing’s body, Broadwing decided to return to the medical ward where they kept Starchaser. He wanted to see if she had waken up yet.

Epsilon seemed very impressed and puts it on so he had his hand free to carry other stuff.
