Bob the Mercenary parries the attack with his own sword, before slashing at Juliana again.
The bullets fired from the Scrapmaker would knock the sword out of the air.
OOC: respectfully, the Scrapmaker was one of the more formidable weapons in the Fall of Cybertron video game. I think it’d do a bit more to Scorchlock than that.
IC:
Alterion would successfully protect Wildsong, at the cost of bringing injury to himself.
“Well, because he said so!” says the prisoner. “He’s making a better world for all of us; not just himself!”
“Are you crazy?!” Salvo calls back. “That’s the Death’s Head; we need to retreat!”
Zepar hits an unseen object… or person. A nearby patch of sand is kicked up as Lockdown dramatically uncloaks and scrambles to his feet, drawing a grey sword.
Nova Prime flies away as the terrorcons dash toward Epsilon.
“Could he do that before?!” Facelift shrieks. “Y’know, way back when?!”
The added cover would help protect Gatecrasher, and Sprocket scrambles after him. The Ground Troopers continue their attack.
“Yeah, I figured!” Sprocket replies, taking potshots at the enemies with his cannon.
The katana would be flying around and penetrate the ground as that distraction gave Scorchlock enough time to run towards the Heavy Trooper’s right flank.
As he charged towards his right flank, Scorchlock would take his katana on his right hand and slash towards the Heavy Trooper’s forearm joint, in attempt to sever the hand that was holding the Scrapmaker.
One of the Heavy Ground Troopers deploys a hammer and begins to march toward Alterion.
Scorchlock’s sword doesn’t quite sever the Heavy Trooper’s arm, but it makes a sizable cut that causes the Decepticon to cry out and step back. The Trooper swings a hammer at Scorchlock, deployed from their other arm.
“Well… he wouldn’t lie to us,” the Trooper says, more to assure himself, it seemed.
“…Right? That’s against his code or whatever, isn’t it?”
Facelift growls in frustration as he blasts a terrorcon into pieces.
“Y’know, when this is over, I’ll take full responsibility for the part I played in rebuilding that jackaft!” he decides.
Many of the terrorcons are cut down by Epsilon’s fire, but two manage to flank the scout and lunge at his side.
Muttering a curse, Salvo points to three Decepticons with flight-based alt-modes.
“Help her out!” she barks. “Or at least keep each other in one piece if things go south!”
Lockdown points the tip of the sword at Zepar’s face as he marches toward the angelicon, evidently not taking that chance. Several pairs of cybertronian optics jangle on the bounty hunters’ hip, tied there by metal wires- trophies from earlier hunts, no doubt.
Alterion sighed tiredly, before lunging at the trooper yelling and attempting a slash to the trooper’s hips, sliding under him.
"So let’s see. You think he wouldn’t lie to you because he is respecting a code that he himself has made? You have no proofs that he cares about any of you, because he doesn’t.
“Their armor must be reinforced…” Scorchlock muttered to himself as he saw the upcoming hammer that had been deployed from the Trooper’s free arm.
His optics trace on it, for him felt like he was watching everything for a moment in a slow motion as he used his free hand to grab the arm of the Trooper and in doing so stopped the hammer from coming towards his direction to hit him.
Now they were in a slight stalemate as Scorchlock had strength and didn’t back down from that tight hold he had on the Trooper.
Scorchlock used his foot to kick down at that minigun barrel in attempting to possibly continue ripping the Trooper’s arm off as the blade was stuck in there, it wasn’t the most efficient way as it would probably cause a lot a pain, but war itself was never pretty that way…
Thrust stopped and flew back.
Banzaitron quickly deflects the shot with his sword. He quickly backs away from Vigor, keeping his attention on both him and Lightshift.
More Heretic troopers were beginning to enter the hangar, drawn by the explosion and gunfire.
Lightshift covered his eyes, as did Vigor, as the flashbang went off.
As Alterion ducks down, the Heavy Trooper swings his hammer at him, aiming to send the Autobot flying backward.
The Chem-trooper emerges from cover and launches a blast of corrosive slime at Wildsong.
Scorchlock would not be able to stop the hammer.
Juliana’s attack connects, causing Bob the Mercenary to drop his sword.
Deploying his blaster once more, the Mercenary growls as he fires another shot.
The three Decepticons take to the air and follow.
Two of the Death’s Head’s cannons pivot upward and open fire, blasting at Delta and company with energon beams and bolts of plasma. One of the Decepticons is hit by a beam and explodes, dying instantly.
Lockdown expertly parries the attack. He deploys a shotgun from his left forearm and blasts at Zepar.
The two terrorcons try and grab hold of Epsilon so that they could tear him apart.
Facelift lunges to try and lend a hand, but another Terrorcon jumps onto his back. The mad doctor snarls as he deploys knives from his claws and begins to hack away at his foe.
The trooper lunges at Redstocker, but the Decepticon Guard catches him before he can reach.
The unlucky Ground Trooper is blown to pieces, and the rest find cover.
“So… what’s the plan now?” Sprocket asks Gatecrasher.
The shuttle and its escort were flying toward the center of the island, and other Heretic forces were headed that way, as well. Unfortunately, the losses that our heroes’ allies had suffered in the earlier barrage was hampering their ability to hinder our enemy’s advance.
At the same time, Nova Prime was flying above the battle. Many airborne Heretics attempt to shoot him down, but Nova dispatches them with bright bursts from his cannons. A Heavy Air Trooper shoots toward Nova, and the Prime cuts his foe in half with his greatsword.
Banzaitron is momentarily stunned. The Troopers behind the Splitter brothers, however, are not, and open fire upon the two.
Confused as to how he wasn’t able to stop the Hammer, it would most likely hit him down the head, brushing off against his mouth plate.
His optics gave him a blurry sight for a short while, before shaking his head, shaking the confusion away.
Scorchlock let out a groan like sound before he smashed his head forward towards the Heavy Trooper’s head, in attempt to headbutt him, which most likely be towards his face.
Thrust sighed.
“And now we’ve got that guy to deal with?”
He took off after the shuttle and the escorts, firing at their engines and attempting to cripple them before they could land.
Banzaitron is momentarily stunned. The Troopers behind the Splitter brothers, however, are not, and open fire upon the two.

The two turn on a dime and simultaneously open fire, working like a well-oiled machine.
Juliana’s sword pierces the Mercenary’s sparkchamber, killing him instantly.
The Heavy Ground Trooper retracts their minigun and grabs Scorchlock’s face. Using their considerable strength, the Trooper attempts to throw Scorchlock to the side.
The Heavy Ground Trooper follows up with a blast from their back-mounted cannon.
The Ground Troopers fire up at Wildsong as she flies, aiming more toward her center of mass.
Redstocker’s words were having an effect on some of the prisoners. A few Heretics seemed to be genuinely pondering what he was saying.
The two turrets continue their fire- the beam cannon aiming right at Delta. The two remaining Decepticon escorts fire at the weapons, but their shots prove ineffective.
Thrust’s shots pepper the side of the shuttle as two Air Troopers break from the formation and circle around to attack.
Three Troopers are slain, but two more dodge the fire and keep up their attack.
Banzaitron falls back, letting his troops distract his foes while he regained his bearings.
“Just the two of us?” Sprocket asks, as if to make a point about their unlikely odds.
A Ground Trooper lobs a plasma grenade at shuttle.
Alterion dodged and lunges for a slash at the trooper’s neck.
She is hit on one of her lower shoulders, as she cries in pain.
“We, the Transformers also want peace and freedom for everybody! Equality! Fraternity! Everything that you want! The difference between them and us is that we actually care for our people, and for Christ’s sake we even made funerals for what Bludgeon would call his Genericons that fell in that battle on Salvation!”
She desperately tries to evade, before realising that she would not be able to get to the ship like this.
“Salvo, I am returning. You were right, but I am not giving it up!” she said as she returned.
As the scrapmaker was no longer deployed, it wasn’t susceptible to Cayde’s hacking.
“You want more?!” the Heavy Trooper taunts Scorchlock with a booming laugh.
The Heavy Trooper swings their hammer again, aiming to simultaneously block the attack and hit Alterion again.
The Ground Troopers press their attack, hoping to shoot Wildsong out of the sky.
“Whaddya want us to do, huh?!” a Trooper exclaims. “You guys took our guns away, d*mmit!”
As if on cue, the walls of the tower transform to reveal racks of crudely, hastily-constructed photon rifles. Guards and prisoners alike turn and stare in amazement at the display.
“…Well, that’d solve that problem,” the Autobot Guard remarks.
Salvo transforms, her mech assuming its walker mode as the minicon commands it to cover her allies’ retreat.
“We’ll need more firepower to take that thing on!” she shouts above the carnage.
