Shakia-Gan: A G2 Bionicle MOC

An imposing cyborg soldier…

…forever a source of terror for the brave inhabitants of Okoto.

Shakia-Gan: cold and unforgivably cruel. Engineered by the islanders of Vei’Raevara from the bodies of their slain enemies, this Frankenstein is a demon who exists solely to inflict fear and anarchy in the land through which it rampages. Set loose on the island of Okoto roughly a century before the Toa arrived, Shakia is nothing but another horrifying beast for the islanders to face.

So after I saw the Uniters and Umarak for 2016, I started work on a MOC that really fused technic and CCBS. A lot of experimenting went into this guy; I’m still not totally satisfied with the hands and the upper right arm, but overall I feel like it turned out alright. Thoughts?

More pictures coming soon…

I really like the fusion of technic and CCBS. Though, the colour scheme is a bit all over the place. I actually think trans-green would work better on this moc, than trans-red, so that it might compliment the chestplate, and the other red pieces. But, idk. Looks good and imposing .

First off, thanks!

This MOC is freaking ancient by now, but I found a bunch of other photos that really show it off, if anyone sees this as cool. :stuck_out_tongue: Right off the bat:

Ready to take his rightful place among the gods.

A quick size comparison.

And here’s a shot from the back.

This is pretty cool! Quite the unique feet you have going.

He looks nice! My only issue is that the feet aren’t the same. One uses glatorian heads, the other mata heads (Although, that could fit the frankenstein theme). That said, it’s not too noticeable. Good job!

No, for sure; I was working off of a pretty small selection of parts back when I built this, so I had to choose between a set of asymmetrical feet or an asymmetrical figure. Way back when I started, I was shooting for Mata heads on both sides.

And yeah, the proportions are intentionally a bit weird as per the whole “Frankenstein” theme, particularly the shoulders, lower legs, and feet. It’s almost got a mech-like feel to it. And hey, thanks for the feedback!
