They should not use the “old” parts but the old parts in a new “version”.

Seeing what the second wave is going to look like, I feel like they NEED to bring some old parts back. I like bigger, bulkier sets, not the skele-mans. The Ekimu/Skull Grinder will probably be the only set I pick up next wave, unless the skeletons get fleshed out.
