I’ll wait until the official release.
Yes! I totally called it!
I figured he’d show up too.
Yeah, but when I first mentioned it, (just after the first trailer came out) everyone told me "No that’s not Vader he’s not in this
That’s certainly part of it. However, it was confirmed a while ago that what we see in RO will be the AC-ACT, a new walker variant.
Juggernauts are designed to traverse rough terrain, so I still think it’s a possibility.
Ughh… Wish they saved Vader for the last trailer. And I can’t believe that they spoiled Chirrut Imwe’s, or “Blind Stick Dude” 's death!
Well, it wasn’t intentional. Something tell’s me there isn’t a Chinese word for ‘spoiler’.
James Luceno is writing another SW book? Whoooo! How did I miss this!?
The prequel’s prequel.
And then there’s all those books that are set before the prequels. I have this one book called Deceived that’s set 3,000 years or so before them.
This is going too deep.
Okay guys, that’s enough prequel-ception talk for now. Let’s move on, shall we?
I’m really interested to see what this book will be about.
But, since that’s an Old Republic era book, unfortunately it isn’t canon anymore. So we didn’t go as deep as you might have thought. Sorry.
As am I. It could be similar to the EU Death Star (very original name) book that came out several years back. I haven’t read it, but by what I understand it focused alot on Tarkin, and since Luceno wrote Tarkin, this book might essentally be Tarkin II if it goes down that road.
I’d like that. I’m also hoping we might get some more TCW/Prequel throwbacks and references. I love those.
Same. After the Citadel arc on Clone Wars, a friend of mine joked about Tarkin and Vader sitting on lawn chairs reminiscing about the ‘good-ole-days’. That’s one reason I’m really excited for the Ahsoka novel as well. I might still love the EU, but I will say the new canon is nice for having all of these different stories that are essentially separate having bits that crossover (like Saw in Rogue One). That was unfortunately a problem with the EU, is that you could have Republic Commando doing it’s thing with it’s books, and then have Med Star or something come in and trample on what was considered canon, and yet the story team at LucasFilm would not pay attention to either.
Oh man, I almost forgot about that for a second. Ahsoka novel hype!!!
Yeah. As much as I like the Republic Commando novels, they were very isolated from the rest of the EU from that time period.
