Personally this is one of my fav. cartoons. This show aired on Cartoon Network in 2003 as a “micro series.” The battles were great. It introduced many great characters such as Asajj Ventress, General Grievous, and the fan favorite Captain Fordo. What are your thoughts on this amazing cartoon?
I love it so much, the fact that grievous took on 5 flippin’ jedi at once with only two lightsabers was amazing
killed 3, injured 2, and escaped
It was pretty cool. It reached certain characters we didn’t have much insight on and had a great art style. I don’t think it was the greatest thing to happen to “Star Wars”, though.
Then in season 2 killed 2 jedi, many clones, and almost killed Shakk Tii… Again!
It probably is the best animated Star Wars feature we’ve gotten. Even though the 2008 Star Wars had great story, if you grew up with this you just cant replace it.
NO DOUBLE POSTING PLZ
neither do I, but it’s certainly very good
true, but 08 clone wars is so good that I put it on par with this one
I think one of the things that takes away my interest from the 2008 CW, is the art/animation style. It’s just… so ugly and weird
Wadda 'bout The “Droids” TV Show, Da bestest thing to happin 2 Str Wrz? /s
I will agree that its animation is stellar, but the story was mediocre at best.
I try not to use my handy dandy Nostalgia Glasses for everything, including this. It was a fine mini-series, but I don’t think it is amazing.
10/10, 100/100, best show, Best SHOW!!!
it was awesomes
I could say the exact same thing about the micro-series art style. You grew up with the 03 series, so you find it’s art style awesome and the 08’s style weird. I grew up with 08, so I find Filoni’s series’ style awesome and Genny’s art style weird. Nostalgia is an extremely powerful and personal thing.
As for my opinion about the 03 series, I think it’s got some fantastic fight scenes. However, I simply can’t feasibly consider “canon” in my mind.

I loved this show. I loved how dark it was, I like that there wasn’t that much dialog, and I thing they did anakin better then the movies did him. I loved the introduction to general grievous and I loved all the action.
It was dark? Since when?
I gotta watch these again. It’s been a while.
The only thing I didn’t like about this series was that weird meat guy. He always grossed me out.
Durge?
Yeah, he was a bit odd…
Though some of the comics form the same era painted him a bit differently…
It was a great series. It was better than the prequel movies.
I like this show a lot. The animation is gr8 and the dialogue (or lack thereof) is masterful. 08 Clone Wars is just as good, but for different reasons, such as longer-running plots and more expansion of the Galaxy.
Honestly, I love all of the clone episodes because there was no dialogue–the entire episode was just them sneaking around and mowing down battle droids.
Really, although a lot of the series was…weird (rubber Durge, chavalry Durge, etc) the clones were just so great. They really highlighted the fact that they were faceless soldiers, not like…the '08 series (although, that was good too)
If you couldn’t tell, I like clones.
Speaking of Grevious being awesome, you know what is cooler?
Getting cut in half by Grevious and still managing to survive, going through hibernation to recover the wounds and return to coruscant. Because Jedi master K’Kruhk did that because he is that awesome.
