Ygdras growls and releases a wave of Force energy, amplified by Magick, in all directions to knock the Imperials down and give him and his friends an opening to escape and make a run for it.
Kay spun her lightsaber, leaping at the nearest Purge trooper and swinging with her saber.
The Imperial lines would falter, but the purge troopers would recover faster than expected, continuing their assault.
The Purge trooper would be cut down, falling to the ground with a sickening thud. The Third Brother reached out at Kay through force telekinesis in hopes of momentarily freezing her in place, at least long enough for a group of near by Purge troopers to get off some stun blasts at her.
Ygdras growls and tries to attract the attention of the Purge Troopers and Inquisitors to act as a distraction so the others can escape.
He taps into the Dathomirian Magick as much as he can and tires to make himself the biggest threat to the Imperials he could.
A few of the Third Brother’s Purge troopers would divert their attention toward him, and some would even stagger backward in fear. “Focus. On. The Mirilarian.” They would hear the Third Brother’s voice urging over the coms, and most would push through their fear, trying their best to ignore Ygdras as they continued to attempt to incapacitate Kay with various stuns.
OOC We should probably wait for Meepinator’s response before continuing.
“The Empire will not take my family away from me again!” Ygdras yells, his voice distorted by the Magick he was tapping into but his words were clear. He tries to influence the troopers’ minds to focus on him instead of the others.
Kay struggled against the Third Brother’s freeze, twitching and trying to break it. She managed to make herself fall over, barely dodging the stun blasts.
The Third Brother, his lightsaber deactivated and both arms outstretched strained to freeze the Kay in her place with almost his whole being, leaving himself fairly exposed to any incoming fire from the retreating rebel line.
A few more of the Troopers would be distracted by Ygdras’s words, sending a few bolts in his direction, yet a contingent would remained focussed on the Mirilarian. That’s when Ygdras would feel a strangely familiar voice reaching out through the force, one that he wouldn’t be able to clearly trace. “Ygdras, stop…”
Ygdras lost his clan on Dathomir to The Empire and the Jedi Order to the Empire during the Purge and now the Empire was trying to take it away from him again…he didn’t want to lose them again, he want to bear that kind of pain a third time. He tires harder, trying to maintain his focus on drawing from the Force and the Magick to draw the Imperials’ fire.
The others need to live, they must survive… he thought, I can’t bear to see them taken away from me, not again!
Kay froze in place, grimacing as she tried to break the force hold.
She closed her eyes and breathed, a few crates floating up in the air and flying towards the Third Brother.
Again, the voice would sound in his head, louder this time, with more power to break his focus, “Pleas, Ygdras. Stop.”
The Third Brother continued to freeze her in place even while the crates came barreling toward him, and while many of the troopers had been distracted by Ygdras, a few near Kay fired off their stun shots. Then the crates collided with the Third Brother, flinging him backward as he smashed into the ground. His cape was tattered from the impact, and one of the crates had seemingly crushed his right arm, though he had bought a few more seconds of freezing Kay, which hopefully would have been enough for the troopers to stun her.
OOC I gtg for a bit.
The stun blasts successfully hit Kay, and she fell to the ground, unconscious.
Her lightsaber fell out of her hand and rolled towards Chimm.
TK-3516 turned his head towards the fight, which was happening a distance away.
“Something’s going on over there.” He said to Juliana.
@ProfSrlojohn
“Hold it!” The commander shouted to the trooper. “You need to explain why you’re working with a bounty hunter. They were brought in as cannon fodder to help the empire on this job. We have no need to cooperate with cannon fodder. You sneaking around and allegedly attempting or helping an attempt to destroy imperial property is also suspicious. Both of you come down here. You’re under arrest”
“Cannon fodder!” Cried Juliana indignantly, “I didn’t sign up to be cannon fodder! I knew the Inquisitors would have first shot, but I thought we bounty hunters got a shot too!”
The Third Brother, rose to his feet as he pushed the box off of his arm, which was now crackling with electricity, obviously some sort of cybernetic, though it was still functioning. “Secure the Jedi and get out of here. We have what need.” He said as he tried to quickly force pull Kay’s unconscious body toward the Imperial line.
“Talk to the Inquisitors first.” TK-3516 snarkily replied. “I’m sure they’ll listen to a commander.”
TK-3516 jabbed a thumb at Juliana.
“See? Exactly. We’re working together, you bucketheaded nerf herder.”
Kay’s body floated through the air towards the Third Brother.
“KAY!!” Chimm shouted leaping towards the brother with his lightsaber in an aggressive backwards position
“I have full authority over this station second only to the Admiral. You’re clearly confused about imperial ranking. Turn yourself in our we open fire,”
“I’ve got one more detonator, agree if I should use it, be silent or argue if I shouldn’t.” Juliana whispered to TK.
(@meepinater)
The shout stirred Kay, her hand twitching.
TK-3616 sighed.
“Alright, fine.” the splicer said to the troopers.
“Take us in, oh supreme commander of all that is gold and shiny.”
Juliana waited for the officer’s response.
