Stickers vs. Printed Bricks

Let’s face it, LEGO Stickers are a pain to apply to your sets. They can reach ridiculously small sizes and, if you suck at making stuff straight like me, you’ll have slanted stickers on your pieces.

For most, Printed Bricks can fix the sticker issue right up, but they also have an issue. You’ll have that design permanently stuck onto your brick forever n’ ever unless you Polish Remover of Nigh Eel it.

So which one’s better: Stickers or Printed Pieces?

I’d say printed pieces. Since I cannot make a straight lone for the life of me Printed pieces always have been more beneficial.

But then again, you can actually take off stickers…

Stickers on bigger pieces, prints on smaller pieces.

I never had issues with applying stickers, then again I have long enough nails. (When I let them grow)

Stickers, because then you don’t have to suffer through one exclusive piece only usable for MOCs with a certain print and aesthetic.

It depends which parts we’re talking about. Parts like space windscreens, consoles, and plates I prefer printed but stuff like bionicle chestplates and ccbs armor I prefer stickered so I have the option to leave them blank for mocs.

Prints because stickers peel off, get scratched and fade away over time

If it’s the restickable (vinyl?) kind of stickers, then stickers all the way

Stickers. I don’t find them too hard to apply and I like the choice and customizability aspect. Not to mention there are some reflective effects that can only be achieved by stickers.

Printed, not as much as a hassle.

I like stickers because they’re optional and can be used on a different piece than intended, but I always get nervous when putting them on in case I mess up!

That said, I prefer printed pieces because they often come out looking better and they will never fade or fall off unless you scrub them off.

I honestly prefer printed pieces, given how I almost always need the decal used on that color piece. It’s generally just fitting that way, like having a battered decal on a gray wall piece.

Stickers if it lowers the set cost, and I’m pretty sure it does.

Stickers in big sets and just for big pieces or to cover larger areas and prints on smaller pieces and also in smaller sets aswell as in big sets.

You’ve obviously never bought any Gundams.

I use stickers on system sets, but don’t on constraction. I barely ever buy system sets, but when I do, I like to keep it all together, so using stickers makes sense for me and completed the model. For constraction, however, I put all my parts in a big box when they aren’t being used, so I don’t like the risk of stickers scratching off when being moved within the box.

What I’m basically saying is I don’t like the temporary feeling I get from using stickers; they peel, fade and can be scratched. Applying them isn’t usually an issue, as I occasionally make models, which can use much, much smaller decals. But with printed pieces I don’t have these issues.

Sucks when I’m gonna get UtD, since his whole chest plate uses stickers…

I do like that print won’t discolor the piece(stickers aren’t ever quite the right color), and that they don’t peel. But stickers allow customization and removable designs.

Personally I prefer printed if it’s a set that has REALLY small printing for the piece, or if putting the sticker would be an annoying task. Also, most themes like licensed themes I prefer some prints on, some sticker.

If it’s a bigger piece or a rarer piece, stickers all the way.

Printed pieces all the way. Stickers always go on slanted, or will have an air bubble trapped in them, or will peel off.

Printed Pieces stay the way they are forever, naturally. I desire permanent designs more than I want a vanilla piece with no designs.

Stickers are better.

Lego sucks at printing. It’s usually off-center, and it is always faded.
