Stop-motion free software anyone?

So ive been trying to start a stop-motion series FOREVER, but I don’t have a reliable free stop-motion software to work with. Could you help me with picking out a free one that is reliable or at the very least help me figure out whats that problem with these software’s? Thanks it would be much appreciated.

Softwares ive tried:

Jelly cam (doesnt export in .avi and has a sign on the bottom saying that it was made with jelly came)

monkey jam (main problem is it doesnt properly export my videos onto a video editor where I can put that scene together with other scenes).

Stop-motion animator (unprofesioal and doesnt let me import my own pictures)

and some others.
(I will name them off if you have said the ones ive used.

you can use pretty much any video editing software, as stop-motion specialised software is really specific for there to be a lot of good free alternatives. You could use a trial version of Camtasia studio (i can show you a way to make it an “indefinite trial” if you wish), it’s a really simple and comfy, but if you’re looking to add fancy effects and such, you’ll need something of higher tier.
But for starting out, camtaia studio is wayyyy better than WMM, and solid enough.

It’s not about software.

It’s about playing lots of only slightly different picture back-to-back.

Any program that lets you edit that will work.

So really any video editing software.

I’ve been using Hitfilm Express for my videos, and it has worked perfectly fine.

I use imotion, (its mobile), you can use your phone as the camera, and use something else as a remote to capture images. I like it.

Y’know what? You say that, but I find that Movie Maker is actually a GREAT tool for stop-motion. I’ve been using for years and I find it very handy. While the only 1 track of audio thing is annoying, the ability to edit every frame with the simplistic ease of clicking the ‘Video Options’ tab is great. I’ve made IMO some pretty great brickfilms with movie maker, and I don’t really get all the hate.

@prentice1215 i try to avoid windows simply because im not sure how reliable it is. I have used it in the past with some success. I might try it again just to see how well it works

@DinosaursUnited Ive used that too but i wanted to try and use my camera for stop motions as I have a tripod for is and has overall better quality pictures for making videos.

@Ranaki_Pakewa I have that software too but i never knew that yo could use that software for stop-motion. thanks ill try that out.
