Tahkon- the Fallen Agent

Here is my entry into Cordax’s Cool Contest, for your consideration:

Tahkon was originally a member of the Hand of Artakha and then went on to join the Order of Mata Nui. He was one of the few members who knew the location of the island of Artakha and as a result was almost killed by Tobduk. Tobduk attacked him completely by surprise and while Tahkon was able to defend himself enough to get away alive, he did not want to risk being found again and immediately went into hiding. Tahkon learned the reason for the assault from Tobduk himself while they fought, who revealed it to Tahkon seeing as how Tobduk didn’t think he would be alive to tell anyone. Tobduk’s slaughter of every person who knew the location of Artakha’s island and the Order’s perceived sanctioning of the act sparked a hatred inside Tahkon of the Order and Artakha himself.

Tahkon made his way south, eventually reaching Artidax where he met a mute Toa Hordika of gravity who went by the name Dusk. At first only depending on each other for survival, Dusk and Tahkon grew close over time; they both felt as though they did not belong anywhere, with both of them abandoning their roles as heroes to live in isolation. The two continued traveling further south, reaching all the way down to the “feet” of the universe. During their travels, they spoke with locals and learned about the history of the Southern Islands, including Axonn’s conquest before he joined the Order. One local, the leader of an island who went by the name of King Credence, left quite an impression on Tahkon, as he had fought Axonn first hand and almost lost his kingdom. Tahkon grew even angrier at the fact that these unjust acts done by Order members went unpunished and that the Order seemingly believes that they can do whatever they want without repercussions, though he did not want to do anything rash and jeopardize the new life he had started.

Tahkon and Dusk lived in Credence’s kingdom at the foot of the Matoran Universe all the way up until the destruction of the Great Spirit robot, working as guards, diplomats, generals of the army, and helping to rebuild the remaining ruins left by Axonn’s visit. Although Tahkon made an effort to move on and not dwell on the past, his hatred for the Order due to the combined wrongdoings of Tobduk and Axonn never truly quelled, and was reignited when the Great Spirit Robot crashed. With their home eviscerated, Tahkon and Credence believed there was now no reason not to enact revenge for the injustices done to them. Once on Spherus Magna, Tahkon, now bitter and overcome with rage, pledged to kill Axonn, Tobduk, Artakha, and any other Order member who got in his way. Dusk, whose animalistic urges grew worse and worse over time and continued to grow, decided to help Tahkon with this task as it gave him an excuse to kill. The two set out for New Atero, intent on bringing down the Order of Mata Nui once and for all.

Tahkon became somewhat of a myth among Order of Mata Nui members, with many believing he doesn’t exist and the rest believing him to be dead. He was known as the Fallen Agent, as he was the only agent to ever defect from the Order. Since Tobduk’s killing of anyone who knew where Artakha’s island is was kept a secret from the majority of Order members, they did not know why Tahkon deserted. Different stories were told with the bottom line being that he was a traitor to Mata Nui, with some even believing that he aided in Makuta’s quest to take over the Matoran Universe.

Tahkon carries a retractable blade on his wrist and can fire heat vision from his eyes. His mind is also shielded against mental assaults due to being in the Order. His name is from a misprint on the Rahaga instructions that incorrectly labeled Norik as “Tahkon.”

I like how you used the Onua claws. Also white and lime makes for a very nice color combination.
