Tahun, the Blazing Knight

Tahun is a Toa of Fire and the leader of my yet unnamed Toa team. He wields a flame broadsword, through which he can channel his elemental powers.

The positioning of the armour on the lower leg was inspired by @Alucia, though the design itself is my own.

Due to a limitation with parts, I had to deviate a bit from having a single main colour, by using both Metru and Mata red, but I think it looks pretty good.

Some pics from the build process

His original form. The general skeleton was pretty much the same but the colours were vastly different. Originally I wanted to use the Rahkshi shoulders and the Nuva chest piece, as they’re parts I’ve never been able to use well.

I wasn’t super happy with the distribution of the keetorange on the previous version, so I tried to fix it with the use of more technic connectors. I also changed out the chest armour.

I switched out the keetorange to red on this version, but there was too much going on, with three shades of silver and three shades of red.

The current team roster. I still need to decide what elements I’m going to use for the last three members. I’m thinking Air, Iron, and either Water or Lightning.

Edit: forgot a size comparison

Thanks for checking my post out! Comments and critiques are welcome

Nice. I like the duo toned color scheme, plus that sword build is great.

You did it you mad fool, you actually made a moc that makes the adaptive Hau look good.
Love this build a lot and very nice adaptation of the leg design

I didn’t think of that! He’s got a new nickname now

Good ideas, I like Agaktus and Deon, definitely gave me something to think about!

Thanks! It’s grown on me. It’s a shame that Glatorian ankle guard didn’t come in more colours.

The adaptive Hau is the best Mistika mask! It looks good on taller characters I reckon. Otherwise it’s too big.
