Takadox drawing

After the success of my Zaktan drawing, I decided to draw some more Bionicle, with mixed success. Eventually, I was able to draw one I was proud of: my first (or perhaps second) drawing of takadox ever. I used pen, pencil, eraser, adn colored pencils. I put particular focus on his bioluminesant look, as I wanted to get that sort of layered, iradescent look he has. While the scan may not capture some of the details, I tried to layer bright colors on the glowing carapace areas so it wasn’t just a flat color, but a shifting and blended group of colors. Also, the colors outside of the lines are intentional, as they represent his glow. Anyway, here goes:

Takadox was the first Barraki that i had.

i really liked his insectoid appearance.

maybe i should try and buy a new one from the web.

I felt like dawing bionicle, and the Piraka weren’t working, so I tried Takadox because I had my colored pencils with me.
