Hi everyone! This is my revamped take on Takua and his trusty steed, the Ussal crab Puku, as depicted in the 2001 MNOG. While I included a few visual cues to her 2003 set, namely the Bohrok eyes on her legs and ribbed hoses running along her shell, I drew more inspiration from her blue and yellow design as shown for the first 2 and a half years of BIONICLE.

My version has a pull-back release mechanism that allows her claws to snap together in a very fun play function, if I may say so myself. Enjoy!

I really like Puku, the head area is particularly cool. Why does Takua have those little blue tidbits sticking out on his upper arms, though?

Those are to help him pick up AM/FM radio.

My biggest gripe with this pair is Pewku’s backside has a massive gap surrounding the… Exhaust pipes? :imp: I guess Pewku’s a lot faster than I thought

@Ghid Given that Ussals are ‘taxi crabs’, I thought exhaust piping would be a funny in-joke. I had to leave the back a bit exposed so I could still work the pincer/claw function easily.

This is a really awesome Moc of Takua and Pewku. Glade they both are getting the love they deserve.

@Au-Plau-Se Thanks a lot! I’ve seen a couple of Pewku/Puku MOCs recently, and it has been nice to see an original character get a rare chance in the spotlight.
