not quite the same action imo
as for speedboating, I would think if Alexis stuck her hand in the water and shot a torrent of flame it would make enough forward motion to push the boat along, but magic in this world seems to also run off of the physical capability of the user to withstand its usage, so I’m not sure.
just get in the boat we’ll discuss this later
