Tayluu, Psionic Sentinel (MOV)

The original character was created by Artek206, as far as I know.
Artek’s newest version

I really liked the character overall, so I made a MOV of her.

The original has a golden sword, and I could very well have used one, but I thought this version looked better and stuck with it.

The build uses 1 cut part!
This piece was cut into 2 equal pieces and both were used as pistons in the torso.
These could be replaced with 2 of this piece for a purist version, but these particular cut piece(s?) look better in my opinion.

The whole build is around as tall as a toa Metru.

Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time

Cool looking MOC! I like the shaping of the torso. The shoulder pads bend down nicely and look really clean with the bohrok shield.

I really like this build. It’s clean and solid, with the shoulders/back and legs looking especially good. I like the idea of including small touches of gold, but as is, I feel like there’s just not enough for it to feel consistent; a couple more studs worth on the arms and legs (maybe even replacing the black tooth on the mask with a gold one) would probably go a long way to making that accent color work a little better. Side note, I wish the photos were maybe a little brighter/clearer, but that doesn’t really have to do with this great build.

The original has even less gold.
(Though more gold highlights would definitely help.)
And i’ll definitely find tutorials for MOC photography (do these exist?) as soon as I can.
