Aight, so this is a super unlikely theory, and I don’t know if I believe it myself. I just think it’d be funny.
What if…what if…the small protector Villager turns out to be a Takua expy?
What if there’s a fourth mask on the island or something, and like, it turns this guy into Takanuva?
Alternatively, @Scarilian’s theory about the MoUP(that it is the Avokhii in some capacity) is true, and things get super Green Ninja up in here?
That is to say, Takanuva gets Light powers, as well as the elements of all the other six, or something.
But this is all just crazy speculation, and I doubt the possibility of it myself.

He’s probably there to show that the prophecy is passed down from generation to generation. Will he be important later? Maybe. But it’s also likely he’s just being used to expand the story a bit without using words.
