That time Sabretooth got obsessed with drawing The Tick for a week

So John TheTickSon and his merry band of (bat)men(man singular) bring in some interesting feats in the world of proportions. With the first image, the broad, flat nose of the tick is juxtaposed with a bit more upper eye tissue on his left eye than his right, and the muscle curving in his neck implies this Tick’s torso is at a bit of an odd angle to get that exact curve. I can mimic the exact angle, but it’s hard to get the muscle there to curve that dramatically without a bit of contorting.

Can’t wait for the day looking at TTV sends me to the hospital :skull:

The next image has an extremely shiny Tick (what I definitely look like IRL) and the diminutive Arthur (what I definitely DON’T look like IRL trust me bro ). Batman Who Kills People is suffering from Kopaka head syndrome, a very serious and possibly fatal condition that renders the cranium of its victim abnormally small:

His face is also kinda… Low? But I feel the need to emphasize that the Tick is fully proportional here and looks great.

And lastly, the Tick chokes out the proportional Homelander with his patented Slenderman arms but with much more muscle mass than what Ghid has- I mean exactly as much as I have aha :eyes::sweat_drops:

Overall, the messy background really sell the characters and fit the visual style well. I like the shading on Batman Who Kills People’s metal armor; I’m a sucker for black shadows sharply drawn across a surface for metal “reflections” per se. Also I don’t know what he has in those two differently-sized pouches but I have to assume they are for killing people.

…wait… wait a minute

He drew eyes :eye: :eye:

And they look pretty good :eye_in_speech_bubble: :eye_in_speech_bubble:

Thanks! I am happy to say that this is a rare instance where all of the proportional oddities are largely intentional on my part!

the absolute series is excellent in your style, proportions look great!

Thank you! It was fun to intentionally exaggerate everything— I was very inspired by the work of Daniel Warren Johnson
