The Beano is a British children’s comic that is published by DC Thomson which started in 1938. It includes iconic characters like Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx, Rodger the Dodger and many more

The Dandy was another comic published by DC Thomson that started around the same time as the Beano, but the print version stopped after the comic’s 75th anniversary at the end of 2012 and was moved online until it ended in mid 2013. It’s iconic characters include Desperate Dan and Bananaman (he has now moved over to the Beano).
