The Bed-time Story Topic

Have you ever enjoyed that one awesome bed-time story that one your relatives made up for you when you where a wee little lad? My grandpa always told me of the story of the Giant Kumba when I was growing up:

“One night, when it was all dark, a giant Kumba walked down the streets, looking for kids who may be still awake… He spotted some kids outside, with a ___________ [this object always changed in each telling]. Now the giant Kumba really wanted that ___________, so he came after the kids… And when he approached them, he TICKLED them until they gave it up!” Then he would proceed to tickle us as he said the world tickle, just to add to the effect.

This was one of my favorites when I was younger. What’s your favorite bedtime story you guys had?

I don’t remember hearing bedtime stories. It’s been too long.

I do remember giving someone a bedtime story out of the Bible and thinking “is this material really appropriate?”

Ah, yes… Not something you should be read at a young age. It’s one of those things you need to be ready for when you’re a little older.
