The Bionicle/DC Reboot Theory

Ok, so you all know that page of that Green Lantern (well, technically The Spectre) comic that shows four of the Toa Mata, right?

Well, I randomly thought about it and the dumbest theory occurred to me: G2 is the result of Flashpoint. Assuming that this page confirms that Bionicle is part of the wider DC multiverse, it can be assumed that when the DC rebooted with Flashpoint/the New 52, Bionicle was rebooted along with it.

Now, one might wonder how the Mask of Time and the implication that the Toa are from G1 fit into all of this? Simple: Rebirth. Elements of post-Crisis canon made their way into post-New 52 stuff and elements of G1 made their way into G2.

I don’t have a full, concrete theory with a lot of proof, mainly because it’s partly a joke theory and partly because I’m writing this at like 2 in the morning because it just popped into my head. If you have any evidence to prove/disprove this, feel free to share it

Pretty intriguing theory, ngl!

I can’t add much to or disprove it, though, because I haven’t been following DC Comics’ continuity for over five years now.
But regardless, I could see it as a possible explanation for how the reality of G2 came to be.

This theory works pretty well except the DC universe has been rebooted multiple times, which means we should’ve seen a few more variants of Bionicle at this point (and sadly haven’t :pensive:).

Also since the Spectre is seen in this panel perhaps he instigated G2’s existence as vengeance for LEGO canning G1?

Don’t forget about Green Latern Lewa Stel

We have. They were called Hero Factory, roboriders, slizers, and lego friends.

Er, maybe not that last one.

The DC Universe has only been truly rebooted twice: first during Crisis on Infinite Earths, then during Flashpoint/New 52. Stuff like Infinite Crisis, Zero Hour, etc. are all examples of altered timelines, not full on reboots
