By that I mean
We had the plot about how no living being can defy a dreamer, and Tott could because he isn’t “living”. And it was specifically referenced that Cordax couldn’t fight Diero.

Yeah Cordax is Was very much alive.
Tott’s body isn’t alive in any sense - it’s like Eilrach, in that the entity inside is not the entity on the outside. But it’s also been established Eilrach greatly outclasses Tott’s ability to maintain a host.
