Man you ask me for anything do you? Okay, slow down D&D Veteran. 'Cause I’m not that specific but since you asked. I wouldn’t suggest taking a strike from their swords and hope you make it out without a scratch. But with enough force you can shatter their armor and kill them.
There is no such thing as tracking your health. Just don’t kill your character out there and you are fine. Though I suppose you can keep count on your wounds. If you really want it that realistic.

Didn’t mean to be rude, I just need to know the basics here. I simply asked because different swords require different fighting styles against a claymore and know the distance between Candall and his enemy.

Oh you weren’t rude. I was joking lol. But this is not heavily D&D inspired combat. It is freemoting my guy. The distance you make when you either approach yourself closer to the npc or not.
Alright. Since a claymore is usually about 55 inches, I suppose that means the Wraith has gotten rather close to me to try and slice at my head?
Well, not really since a sword has more length than that but that is why you have your shield to make it up for that.

This is why I asked for the type of sword, since they vary in lengths and purposes. I wanted a better picture of what my PC is being attacked with.

The picture I provided within the beginning of the attack post showed what kind of sword the Wraiths are using. But since your weapon is shorter than anything here, except for a dagger, you’ll have to get close. But I’ll let you know when they are very close or not.
Dang, those are long swords then if they’re longer than a claymore. Thanks for the info.

Now you know how I felt during that prison break RP of mctorans. 
Long story short. We talked to the king, I made a footprint in a gold floor, and were told to get the heart of the mountain. Currently we’re fighting wraiths, and I’m the only one with an effective weapon, my fire.
