It’s hard to explain without going into deep lore but an Emblem Heartless is what is created when a person with a heart falls to darkness. They turn into a creature of Darkness that normally takes on some traits of the world that they are from.

That’s the basic idea, this is the Heartless of a Denizen of the Bionicle universe, though I couldn’t tell you what part they are from.

Weren’t those the Pureblood Heartless?
I thought the Emblem Heartless were artificial or something like that.

Anyway, the moc looks really cool, kinda like a mix of the Graveyard and the Grim Reaper from KH2. Those Hand eyes are a really nice addition.

Yeah, the Grim Reaper heartless was a bit of an inspiration.

As for the lore, nah Emblems are made from people’s hearts pure bloods are pure darkness, as we now know they are literally the devolved state of The “True Darkness” Which are beings that shed their physical form and exist as pure darkness beings. One of those actually possessed Ventus and is what eventually became Vanitas.

What you are thinking of is the experiments that Xehanort did while posing as Ansem. To understand the Heart he literally ripped the hearts out of Children which in turn turned them into Emblem Heartless and a large number of the Dusk Nobodies…You know for kids.

Pure bloods are what happens when they don’t take on a host body, they loose their individuality and descend into mindless beasts.
This is lore that was explained towards the end of Union Cross and expanded on a bit in Dark Road.
