The Beginning

Tahu trudged back onto the beach. He looked around, amused. The last time he had been here, he had decided not to return. That was then. Now, he was ready. The adventure had been short, but it was a good sendoff. It had reminded him of the old days, back on his island home. A smile played across the Toa’s lips as he recalled how it felt to see his old friends again. Some of his fellow Toa had changed, some were exactly as he had remembered. But in the end, he had known that it wouldn’t last. It may have been shorter than he would have liked, but it didn’t really matter. It had been a fun trip. He sighed as he glanced around his old home. It was as if he had never left. Exactly the same, with a single exception. He noticed that the fire that had once kept him warm was extinguished. He wasn…
