I have been working a lot on this moc for the past year, at first I tried upgrading the original design, but it still didn’t look right, so I took it all apart a rebuilt it with the newest lego parts at my disposal, and a bit for ziontyro’s custom wears, and this is the end result I am much happier with.
I have used 8 of the new titan ratchet joints for the legs and the upper shoulder, but even they have there limits, because of it being top heavy, it needs the pistons for extra support. I am still trying other things out for the feet, so this boot design is temporary. I did use a lot of the original Inspirations for the design and added others: firstly spring traps exoskeleton design, secondly: resident evil William Birkin, mainly the eye in the shoulder, but for the engineer, it’s in his Lower arm. And lastly a bit of Warhammer for the chest plate.
The eye can look left to right, I do plan on getting some other parts to fix it, so it can look in any direction.
I did add some red infinite stones for the eyes, so when the light hits it, the glow a little bit.
I did remove the dragon head, because I wanted to see the mask more, so I made the eye lenses instead.
I also used these ring blades in the neck that don’t get in the way.
I wanted the engineer to look regular, yet grotest at the same time, due to his ever decaying form, and I think I definitely did that. The engineer is my way of filling in a bunch of areas within the red star zombie storyline, and the original as well. I have been working on finishing parts off the G1 storyline.
I have made the engineers fingers swappable, so if he needs a different piece of equipment, all he has to do is grab
Twist and pop them off.
All but the middle graby finger can detached and swapped with any of the other figures that represent real life medical and engineering equipment.

In the story, his left arm was fused to one of the largest pieces of the nui stone prism/prison that held the great being undeath, and has been turned into the engineer most destructive weapon, with one blast, can vaporize close to anything. I did use some custom parts from ziontyro to get the shaping I wanted.
I do plan on building a laboratory with fully functional table, but I did want to recreate apart of the story wear the engineer was working on shatore.
Last, but not least. All of my red star zombie creations all together.
Back story: the engineer started off like most of the other great being, creating tools, weapons and different types of living beings like most of them, but he created one in particular that became his lab assistant/ best friend. But another great being saw this as a weakness and brutal killed the engineers creation, but instead of mornig his friend he startedusing different types serums, that would become the first variant of the zombie virus. He Injected and hoped for his friend to come back to him, but the reanimation was faster than he expected, and his “friend”, now the first undead abomination was created. It had no mind to think or feel, just the Irresistible Instinct to feed. The engineer would become the first great being to become infected, and almost destroy every living thing on the planet. The great being where scared of being near him and trap him in a prison which was made from one of their first space ships. They debated on if he should even be allowed to exist or end the the outbreak, here and now. But one great being stood up for him, that great being was undeath. He pointed out that if any of their creation all die, they would have created the bionicle universe for nothing, and proposed the idea, that the engineer would allow them to keep some of their favorite creations even after death, but he would never be allowed to leave the ship again. as at this time, they had no clue about the existence of souls, or how or what they will do with the waste the dead leave behind. This one act saved the engineer, but condemned him in a ship that over the time and traveling through the multiverse the ship would become the red star, a plant size space ship fused with the remains of the undead. One of his main duties to the multiverse is the retrieval and protection of toa’s elemental energy as well as giving it back to a universe that is in the need of six noble heroes the most, but not all of the toa energy can be saved, some are corrupted by the virus’s amongst the red star and can not be put back into the living bionicle universe, otherwise it will turn them into monsters. I took some side by sides so everyone will be able to tell how tall this moc really is.
