If the fake accounts are from bots or fake emails, you are right.
However, if the accounts are duplicates, the email connected to the account would also be attached to legitimate account, which could be harassed.
I see why they arenāt releasing the votes, but I disagree with it.

No one is asking them to reveal anyoneās e-mail addresses or IPs. Just the usernames whose votes were removed and a general statement as to the criteria that decided it.
Edit to add: Donāt forget, the usernames of everyone who voted in the poll are available in the poll itself. Revealing these usernames of whose votes were removed would not give us information that was unavailable before.

Just in case thereās anyone who doesnāt believe that someone could have created up to 71 fake accounts to influence a poll of this magnitudeā¦someone already did it. In the 80s. And thus Jason Todd died.

TTV, however, seems to feel very strongly that they cannot do this. If we assume good faith as to why that is, then I imagine itās at least somewhat tied to the vetting process, in which case it is still the vetting process that is the issue.
But if TTV changed their minds about revealing the removed voters, and everyone who voted with #6 was indeed satisfied with this, then yes, I guess that would be a superior way to handle things.
It seems the vote here was very exclusive of non Forum Fans

Well glad to know these contests are rigged or skewed to what wants to win by the people running them.
Itās easy to throw dirt at RSG with their less than perfect history, but if you have actual proof of this occurring/who was involved, you have a strong case not only for more dangerous vote influencing, but also substantial reason for the ācouncilā to be disbanded.

Literally just use MS Paint and squiggle over the text with the brush tool to a degree where itās unreadable. Doesnāt look fancy, but it doesnāt have to.
