I guess you are referring to the black orange gold intermixt with brown and trans-orange and grey?
I tried to emulate how the Titan Mech has its white and green distributed across the chest and legs while incorporating the colors of Cole sets which usually use a mix of the colors mentioned above. If it weren’t for part constraints I would have left out the gold, I do like its inclusion at this point.

The color scheme is bit inconsistent, but other than that, it’s awesome! I especially like the inclusion of that Stringer armor piece in the chest, It fits really well in there.
The Ninjago designers should really take note from MOCs like this!
