Also went back to the electronics and game store that sells Lego for some reason and bought some discounted sets as well as more duplicate sets for my quest to gather all the sets necessary to build Makuta (only need 3 more sets, in case anyone is wondering).
Why Bricklink, why…
I ended up spending $40 on parts (you can see some in the background) that I was in no rush to get. And all because I wanted those keychains…
Does anyone know where to find the cheapest Bionicle sets? So far the least expensive sets that I’ve found were at K-Mart.
I bought Kopaka, Tahu, and Pohatu Master. As well as the Protector of Earth. The Toa were $10.99 each, and the Protector was $7.99. The sets were either taken out from storage in the back of the store and put on shelves, or they have been sitting there for a year. I’m guessing this is the case because when I bought them, the boxes actually had a bit of dust on them. Here are the completed sets:
I saw the bags of parts. I knew that that’s what you bought. But what I was saying was I thought it was a ripoff that that was how you got the key chains. I thought what you were saying was you didn’t really need the parts but spending that amount of money was the only way to get the key chains.
@Square Thank you for telling me that. I had no idea! Is this a common problem or is it just my absent mindedness that is to blame?
Most of the parts that I got were to repair/complete some sets, so I’ve already put some of the parts to their respective sets. Though if you truly want, I can PM you the list of parts that I bought. (it’s like 7 pages so I don’t want to post it here.)
Oh, no. It was simply me getting the urge to buy more than I originally planned, which is something that happens often with Bricklink. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Also, since we’re still talking about the key chains…
Are you talking about Fry’s Electronics? I went there about two years ago in late 2014 and found the 2013 LEGO Chima Constraction sets there. I got the Chi Laval set.
