The "Look What I Just Got!" Topic

Just picked up Transformers Studio Series Scorponok and Freezer a couple days ago:

Freezer (the one with four arms, if you don’t know) is a 6 out of 10, but Scorponok is awesome.
Also:

Bricklink prices for the GWP actually are around 10 to 20 bucks depending on if you buy internationally or not.

“Found” would be the appropriate word for this. I found these things in a closet. Who knows, maybe I’ll make Bionicle lawnmower MOC one day.

Got the first of iron factory’s boobmaster figures.

Name jokes aside though it’s shaping up to be a pretty decent combiner forgiving the partsforming.

Do you have any 3p transformers you’d recommend? I might look into buying one around Christmas.

Haven’t posted here in ages so I’ll just compile everything I’ve got over the past few months

Acceleracers and Highway 35 stuff

Combat Crawler X2

Gate Assault

Tez

Various Legacy figures

Treadbolt

Cybertron Defense Hot Shot

Overload

Sky-byte

Pfft, everything here pales in comparison to Tez.

Seriously that’s some really good stuff! Combat Crawler looks awesome!

I’m so jealous of those Exo-Force sets. Good stuff!

What’s your budget? It all depends what you can afford / like. Got any ideas?

Personally I just buy the ones that are generally regarded as being good or the ones that look cool; one of my earliest was iron factory lord scorpion since he looks cool and he’s a nice space saving version of a city bot. Mastermind creations is also a solid choice.

At most ~ $50 before shipping. My collection is just Studio Series, so I’d be interested in something that would be a similar scale.

That’s gonna be kinda difficult; most modern third party’s 50$ or under are legends or core scale like iron factory or new age. There really isn’t that many 3P at chug scale only legends / masterpeice.

Fan projects was in that range but they’re heavily outdated now and hard to find / get. I suppose there’s bootlegs of 3P molds on eBay but 50$ is pretty limiting on what you can get.

speaking of transformers, here is my latest purchase:

Just got a Blaze Malbus guy from Star Wars. The human head is a bit weird, though it’ll probably lend itself well for some cursed creations.

I bought this for 19€ at a local toy store, they also had the Jin Erso figure for the same price.
Something else really interesting they are selling is a glued display model of 7690:

I didn’t take it because it’s glued anyways and I didn’t even have 70 bucks with me, but it’s an interesting find! The sticker says that it comes from the Kladno factory.
This made me really curious as to what else they might still have in storage, but I didn’t ask. Besides the Lego, they had some 90s Playmobil and an RC car from 2004 on sale (all new and sealed), so there’s possibly some other gems still in their backlot!

I was pretty thrilled to find a lot of long-lost bionicle pieces on an expedition to unexplored regions of the basement earlier today

As someone who doesn’t buy lego on bricklink or eBay, it’s super cool to acquire some new parts in mostly pristine condition!

Irnakk spine?

Atobe is now the richest man in Bionicle :eye: :eye:

Looks like the head’s been snapped off the spine, unfortunately

You could still make a bald blinged-out Skakdi with it though

He’s one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Just a guy with a big gun and some interesting armor. Wish I could find some info about a logo on the armor, actually. It has what appears to be an inverted Valvoline logo on the minifigure’s armor printing, near the left shoulder on his chestplate.

Agree, the figure is pretty cool. Don’t know about the character in Star Wars, but his constraction form is pretty well done; the figure is solidly built and has many useful pieces. Human head is cursed, but I guess it’s realistic. The friction extenders in the ankles are unneccessary, but hey: that means two free friction extenders for me and I’m not complaining about that :grinning:

About that logo, here’s a higher quality look at it:

Thanks! I didn’t realize it was on the constraction set as well!

just got my gaming setup (mostly) done, figured this was the best place to show it off (some of the cable stuff is new so it does fall under the category of something i just got)

still need to get a bit of cable stuff done (i need a few more hdmi ports) but it’s complete enough to show off

so, we’ve got a lenovo laptop that can handle most stuff i need, a lenovo desktop under the desk that is actually worse than the laptop because it hasn’t been upgraded since covid (i’m going to here soon), the 8bitdo retro keyboard and mouse, the current xbox (not hooked up right now, i need that extra hdmi input), the wii, the dreamcast, the skylanders portal, and the replica shadowgear6335 mask that i love to show off at any opportunity given (it was painted by the same guy, so technically it isn’t a replica - it’s one of two)

still need to get a second switch dock so i can set the switch up in here, and preferably another hdmi that kind of just floats for stuff like my ipad, raspberry pi, and retroid pocket 4
