iPhone pictures can work just fine. The main issue here is that there’s just not quite enough light, and the light there is is coming from behind him. If you put him in a brightly lit spot in front of some paper or card or even a sheet, with either diffuse light or having it come from off to one side, the picture will come out much cleaner.

I love the hunch he’s got going, as well as the hooves and the monstrous right hand. The left hand looks too small for him though.
