PLEASE
THIS TOPIC HAS TOO MANY PUNS IN IT ALREADY
also, I think itās fungi, not āfungaiā
So, what did everyone think of the new show, if you saw it?
Depends, according to google its either Fungi, Fungus or Fungai. Fungai if its for an infection. E.g. āInvasive infections caused by fungai are more extremeā
Didnāt realise it was outā¦ mmhā¦ shall try and watch it tonight and give thoughts :3
There are poor-quality versions on YouTube that I watched. Iām still formulating opinions, so Iām gonna wait to give my thoughts.
Higher quality;
Episode 1 - http://vodlocker.com/22dxppmf1180
Episode 2 - vodlocker.com
Ditto.
However, I will mention that while I wasnāt impressed, it wasnāt too painful.
Some sets are on Lego Shop:

As for the TV show I think it has potential. Itās not better than current Ninjago, but the 2 pilot episodes have left a better impression on me than the pilots of Ninjago and Chima.
Also I love the Book of Monsters. His lines and voice are some of the best.
So, not gonna spoil anything, just overall thoughts.
The opening did nothing to really grab my attention, I feel like there could have been a better way to do it, however aside from that, it does a good job getting you to know the characters. The knights except Clay and Macey all seem like buffoons who need direction, and who better to do it than the awesome Merlock? But the villains steel the show for me. Iām more interested in what exactly the Book of Monsters is and how it works its magic than I am in our heroesā plight. Robin will likely end up as a Takua-like character, Iām calling it now. The show does a better job than Chima did, so thatās a plus. Itās no Ninjago right now, but as @Triple said it has potential. So Iām curious to see where this goes.
Then:
Now:
I guess Iāll watch the show later, then.
Itās dumbfounding just how much of a jump in quality there seemed to be between episodes 1 and 2.
Well, Iāve always been a fan of the book so I donāt think my opinion on it has changed that much. The accent held up surprisingly well. It also helps that every other line from it was pretty funny,
Forgot to mention this. Episode 1 was such a bore, but 2 was much more fun to watch. The humor and action got so much better in such a short time.
Iāll keep that in mind when I watch it.
Episode 1 was quite boring, but it had to get all that introduction stuff out the way. Episode 2 Iām really impressed with. I actually found myself laughing at some scenes, something I cant say about Ninjago or Chima. Jestro and the book of monsters are brilliant, and felt like actual, unique characters. I cant say much for the heroes, because Jestro got most the screen time in the second episode, so Iām still unsure about their characters. Jestro has an actual reason to be evil. Being laughed at like that can make people emotional like Jestro was. When people get emotional, itās easier to sway their train of thought, the book of monsters took advantage of this weakness to make Jestro evil. This is how they should do it, giving the villain a real reason to be evil, instead of being bitten by evil snakes or magic flowers. If they want to go about it a different way, then making them sociopaths like Chen is a better approach.
@Barkel i can agree that the villains where the good part of these episodes, but im still not a fan of this series, again i like Chima more.
but about your complaint about the persuader plant, they are not āmagic flowersā but a strange type of plant that is most likely extinct on Chima, seeing how they are not that common, their effect is more or less that they seem to weakend the mind of whoever inhales their pollen or sporers and then is left open to manipulation.
Chima to me is also the only series where there really is no real Big Bad that is somehow behind the many evil things in the land, in Ninjago we had Overlord who is the main Big Bad of the Ninjago series, and as i am going to assume, the Book of Monsters is the Big Bad of the Nexo Knights series, seeing how he is the one who made Jestro turn evil, so we could assume that the Book of Monsters have been the main force for possibly other villains in the past of the Nexo Knight world.
though i must ask thisā¦ what does the Book of Evil do for the lava monsters, i mean its possibly that it gave the two lava monsters: Sparkks and ā¦ what is that other guys name?.. but anyway, what i was going to say is that before finding the book of evil, those two monsters did not show any form of personality, but after the book was found, they then was shown to talk and had more of a personality, but im kinda wondering why there are only one of their body types? i mean in episode one, the unknown lava monster in the arena where made into four clones, so why canāt there be more of them i mean Jestro is doing that to the other monsters so why not to them to?
also, i am not sure about it, but if the book of evil gave Jestro his more āevilā appearance and altered his personality, then its possible that the later books: the book of fear and the book of chaos, will also do more alteration to him, like the book of evil.
Wow that set is pretty awesome. Dand.
