Noticed a…strange…reference, in the third episode. Not the Chima one, either. One of those “giggity” moments, is the best way to say it.
I do have to say the whole Clay VS Lance thing gets annoying very quickly. I hope they tone that down real soon. On the other hand, Lance on his own is a rather hilarious character. Clay is just generic, and I do think the show pokes fun at that, so it’s not really a bad thing.
And now for what I find to be the most moronic thing about the show. Their “Nexo Power” things. In toy and game form, there are a wide variety that all make sense. In the show? They’ve all had different names…sure…but they all just make the knights glowy and more powerful. Yes, a bear, a dragon, and a freaking castle on wheels are apparently all the same thing. I’d say that’s unimaginative, but I’d say it takes some imagination to make those all the same thing. Not impressed with that. I am now watching episode 4 and 5, though, so maybe it’ll change? I’d hope so.
Book of Monsters is actually a somewhat feasible antagonist, as well, and the Jestro/BoM banter is kinda fun to listen to.
Will update this post if episodes 4/5 change anything about what I said.

Must admit, being one of the first of these I’ve actually watched all the way through - i don’t really like the direction they’ve went with Macy. In this she’s shown as kind of incompetent in battle - to the point where she gets distracted.
She goes around trying to show herself as ‘not a typical princess’ however then gets contradicted in everything she does or anyone she meets. Her fight with the villain ends with the villain essentially killing themselves to get her to shut up, which i would find funny, except her constantly talking rather than proving herself as more than a princess got annoying.
The Nexo Power usage in this seemed a little too easy a solution. Macy messes up, gets caught and it would end up being a typical damsel in distress scene if not for her Nexo Powers. I guess i just expected her to actually try defining herself as a strong independent woman rather than what she turned out to be which is only slightly different from a generic princess and more along the lines of a spoilt person.
The punching bag also raises questions… do they always store the sentient robot helpers in their? Isn’t that a little cruel if so…
I found Lavaria wanting to kill herself far funnier than I should have.

Also, to my earlier statement about the powers all being the same. It appears the webisode things somewhat correct that, but not enough to stand out just now for me. For example, the Axl episode has that bonus arm hammer things, and the Aaron one has the hovershield…something he has at all times…that one confuses me.
