I knew it was a good idea to invest in the Ultimate sets.
The Ultimate Sets are probably the better sets to be honest from the Summer Wave. The main sets don’t interest me much other than the big wheeled vehicle with the lava monster and maybe the volcano lair. Though would need to alter the lair a lot.
NICE, I honestly thought that Ultimate Axl would be trans orange not trans yellow, but, still probably going to get them.
@Scarilian How could you think that? I mean Macy’s Thunder Club and the Globlin Thrower Are kinda lame, and don’t look like fun but, Come on, Aaron’s Aero Hunter, Axl’s Mobile Tower, and the other bad guy sets (General Magmar’s Siege Machine and the Volcano Lair) are really cool
I like these new sets. A lot.
If I have the chance, I’m getting Jestro’s lava fortress (unless it’s $200 or approaching that). I still have to get the fortrex.

The sets I’ll probably get are; Aaron’s Aero Hunter, Axl’s Mobile tower, Macy’s Thunder Club, and the Globlin Thrower. And all the Ultimates of that wave. The Ultimates I won’t get for the current wave, are Robin and Beast Master.
The four Ultimate sets £6.99 each;
To me these represent the main good aspect of Nexo Knights, the great printing on the figures and the Nexo Powers. The sets have been very hit and miss for me with some that just do not appeal at all, but here I’m actually seeing potential. Its an easier way to get the figures you are missing in a powered-up form and it gives you Nexo Powers. Price is cheap enough to justify getting them. Will be getting these as an easy way for Nexo powers and for figures.
70318: The Glob Lobber £7.99;
To me this set contains nothing worthy of getting. It doesn’t really work as an army builder given I’m not interested in tons of Mohawk wearing bad guys that all look the same. If they wanted a generic villain they should have given them generic characteristics with good printing rather than making them stand out with the Mohawk. The knight would be something, except i don’t feel it fits with the techno-based Nexo Knights or the lava-based villains. It also doesn’t have any Nexo Powers, which makes this one is a pass for me.
70319: Macy’s Thunder Mace £17.99;
I’m expecting this to have a function where you can fold pieces around to make it a hand-held mace looking thing. Though even with that potential function, this set doesn’t interest me even with the nexo power. I cant really justify it for the price its at. This is also a pass for me.
70320: Aaron Fox’s Aero-Striker V2 £29.99;
I see the potential here as a flying crossbow, but it doesn’t appear to have a weapon that shoots from the middle, just tiny shooters on the top and stuff. I guess the function would be the sides folding inwards to the sides to turn it into a castle wall or something, but I’m not seeing the appeal. Plus it looks like it includes stickers for a majority. Once again, the price feels too high for this set, which should have really been around £24.99 max. This feels like a pass.
70321: General Magmar’s Siege Machine of Doom £34.99;
Not feeling the pricing for this either, should have been cheaper around £29.99. Yet again though, it appears covered with stickers and generally large useless pieces such as the wheels. The set doesn’t have much really going for it other than the ability to move - and I’m guessing a function to be flattened down to create a vehicle similar to Axl’s tower carrier. Just not really seeing much in this set to warrant buying, even a robo-horse cannot convince me.
70322: Axl’s Tower Carrier £39.99;
The pricing for this one does make sense i feel, however it just looks too on the borderline. Its just not got enough to be a confirmed purchase for me. The main vehicle is nice, hopefully the sides are printed and not stickers (though worried they will be stickers which could mean a ton of stickers) Though i do like the vehicle, the lava monster is a bit disappointing as the horns do not appear to be accurate and he likely has stickers also. Just… stickers :L
70323: Jestro’s Volcano Lair £99.99;
This one is the big ‘iffy’ set for me. I’m unsure of whether i like it or not. The interior lava flow aspect i like a lot, the Sarlacc is an odd choice to include however it may have a function where a figure will fall down and slide into the mouth which could be cool. Though the set itself seems gappy and i feel i’ll need to see the other sets of this year before considering this, as thinking of combining two to have a better volcano set. Once again stickers are a huge worry and the large amount of figures doesn’t really justify the set seeming unfinished or small in places. If i do end up getting this, then chances are I’d get two and combine them to have a better lair.

IDK man, something about the visor just doesn’t look like it sticks out as much as Axl’s typically does.
It also doesn’t look like it has the same shaped hole.

Nexo Knights: That one theme you kept seeing on your hunt for the BIONICLE 2016 sets.
I know nothing about Nexo Knights
but I do know that today a saw an entire fully stocked section of it in Walmart
and the only bonkle in the store was one lone skull scorpio in a slightly beat up box

I’m really loving nexo Knights. I’ve probably got about half the sets are they’re all pretty fantastic. Definitely way better than any chima junk.
It is a little disappointing to see how much bionicle has taken a back seat to it. The uniters and creatures are some pretty amazing sets. I get it though. Stuff like nexo Knights and ninjago are gonna be Lego’s cash crop. Blaahhhh
I dunno. Ninjago’s been the big cash crop since Bionicle ended originally, so it’s still going to surpass any of the other two.
Also, shouldn’t the topic have a blue shade to it, rather than yellow? XP
