I have a personal beef with Nexo Knights. While the sets are really creative and actually fun and wiht really cool pieces I just can’t get into the story. I dislik it a lot, and to add to this hate in the stores I’ve visited to check out for the new Bionicle sets…Nexo knights was there, taking control over the whole store…and yet not a single bonkle…
Sad.
Regardless I fin the pieces and some of the builds really awesome, and really usefull for Mocing. And while I dislike the story and some sets I can definetely see why people love this theme.
And may I add that most of the new villain figures are just plain awesome?
So when Nexo knights was announced I was skeptical, and cautiously optimistic, not a huge fan of the sets, but the show seems okay, not a fan of the nexo powers, but I have a question to ask you.
Are the ultimate sets worth it, for a constraction collector and MOCist’?
If you want some of those more specialized parts or unique parts then go for it. But all you’d be buying it for is flames, printed disks and trans stuff, other wise its useless, especially for constraction.
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that instead of getting an ultimate moltor we got ultimate robin, a character who should even be close to ultimate?
That is very untrue, BIONICLE is not the most popular theme ever, it’s probably city, city is really really old, oh, and by the way, TLG knows what they’re doing with their products, trust me. A petition will barely do anything, and only doing Bionicle will send the revenue and profit sinking to nothingness. The reason they keep making themes is so they have more money. What if people don’t like Bionicle, that’ll suck for TLG, then won’t it? BIONICLE honestly is just buildable action figures and some technic functions. Old Bionicle was better, after HF it went downhill. Ninjago is going up in sales because TLG is stepping with actions and functions in system sets and if that is good for TLG then you should appreciate that they even continued Bionicle. Also, if Bionicle was SO popular why did it get discontinued for 4 years huh? I know they brought it back but people aren’t loving the new CCBS endorsed Bionicle sets. Honsetly everything you said in that post is completely wrong, unsupported, and well, just plain silly.
Hello, I’m new here, but I have been following this topic for a couple of days now and finally decided to join in. Today when i walked into my local toys store I found a couple of Nexo Knights activity/sticker books with pictures of some more of the plant guys (referred to as plant monsters), like Mushlord, and a couple of so called sea monsters, which I think weren’t posted in this thread before. Do you guys think these could be the new villains for 2017/2018 or just some random baddies only featured in books and maybe the TV show?
This guy is called the “Marquis of Seaweed”. He supposedly is the leader of the sea monsters. The black armor stickers which were discovered alongside Mushlord belong to him. I’ve got two more pictures, but as a new user it seems I can only post three at a time. Could I edit my post to add them?
Lava Monsters in first year… Sea monsters and Swamp monsters in second?
I’d like to see that happen honestly, could get a nice seaweed/tentacle lower body piece with that figure. Hopefully he is not just a one-off villain for a random episode or something.
Not sure, think you can.
Either that or link the URL.
Or just post the other two images in another post (as long as its not directly after a prior post then it should be fine) not really sure rules for new users ><
The first one was part of a spot the differences puzzle about something called the “academy of monsters” (could be a hint of a shared backstory of the tribes? Don’t know if it’s canon though…).
The second one is part of a story in which the book of monsters has the hiccups and as a result summons sea and plant monsters. Jestro says this could be a problem, since the different tribes don’t get along very well.
Oh yeah, the character’s names in the second picture can be roughly (I don’t even know if there’s a direct translation to these expressions) translated to: Baron “rotten wood”(?) and “Mule” (as an expression for stubbornness). Interestingly it says baron rooten wood was the sea monster though I’m certain this is a mistake.
