Those are licensed figures, so those do not count, and you know that.
You do know that there are two different LEGO products here? one is for Lisenced Products where in there is allready a lore for these, so they sets are notting but toys anyway. Then you have the non-lisenced Products like Ninjago, Chima, Bionicle, Nexo Knights, many of those product’s sets have been used in lore and do have a lore exlenation for why they exist, same for the Chima Ultrabuilds:
the same rule must be applide for Nexo Knight, by your logic, LEGO could just make Comics or sets based on fictional characters which originates from fiction from the LEGO line they allready have.
I mean did anyone seriously want a set based on Fritz Donnegan that bad? did anyone stand outside LEGO’s offices for days, demanding them to make a set based on him?
they are canon, if you had watched the Chima tv series, you would know that, they appeare everytime a character chi up, thats the point of their names: CHI Laval, CHI Eris, CHI Gorzan, CHI Cragger, CHI Worriz, CHI Razar, CHI Panthar, CHI Mungus, CHI Vardy and CHI Sir Fangar.
Lego can do what ever they want. They could make Nexo Knight ccbs figures and say they are the real ones and the system sets are toys, as stupid as that would be. They could say the ccbs figures were gods and that they sent small versions of them selves to fight lava things, as stupid as that would be.
My point being lego can do what ever they want, in addition, in rare advent that they would do Nexo Knights ccbs figures, they could just do what knights kingdom did and make the ccbs figures the same thing as the minfigures.
I dont think he was one of the five people you watched the show unfortunately…
Hes a non native English speaker from what I can tell, Hes saying that lego wouldn’t make Nexo Knights ccbs figures because they wouldn’t fit into the story and he believes if they ever did ccbs figures they would have to have a part int he story.
I completely forgot this. And I doubt not establishing any story difference between them was what killed the line.
So there you have proof of a very similar theme, neither there wasn’t any explanation for the Bionicle playsets either.
Considering the theme lasted 3 years, and it was made back in 2002, I think it lasted pretty long compared to some others.
I always sort of thought the g1 playsets to be sort of a way to show the locations off, on the things regular sets never had. Then again, things got really weird in 2007.

the joke is, that because it didnt last past year three and by most accounts the sales of sets were less then average, along with the fact it was held in low regard amongst the AFOL community fr the most part, that it only had a small amount of fans.
The find it funny for a reason, because its funny to them.
Chima was a financial mistake. There’s no way around it. Ninjago performs superior in comparison, they should had never even thought about cancelling it.
While the possibility of NK CCBS figures is pretty slim, I would definitely welcome them. Not only would there a plethora of new armor and weapon parts, but the creative villian designs translated to CCBS would warrant a buy by themselves.
tried to look it up, and found no proof of this, infact many consider Legend of Chima to be a success, the people who argued that Chima was a mistake where the ones who disliked Chima from the start, which you seem to be a part of given your: “Ninjago should never have been cancelled” statement, which was one the Ninjago fans allways used to justify their dislike for Chima.
Its sales were less then average considering its cancellation after year 3, and its constraction sales were bad enough to where they didnt even ship them over seas to North America.
I imagine where it was a bit like hero factory, where it had a bad start because it sort of replaced a beloved theme causing people to instantly dislike it. Unlike HF however, it wasnt the only system theme and could be replaced easily.
It was the furry aesthetic that threw at least me off.
I’m perfectly fine that they used snake people for Ninjago but Chima was just too much.
But I’m not a fan of either, only have two Ninjago sets and couple of CHI figures.
It’s not that Chima wasn’t selling that bad it would had been a failure. It was that Ninjago exceeds it’s sales by a large margin and thus if they would had cancelled it and sticked with Chima instead this decision would had generated them less money and that’s the exact reason why they cancelled Chima.
i have one question to ask the people here, on Ninjago and Chima… Have any of you people ever thinked of making comination models of the different sets from the theme? basicly the “sets” combining into new and larger sets, like combining Wakz’ Pack Tracker with the Turbo Shredder and Moltor’s Lava Smasher.
i would just like to see what you all can make ouf the three themes if you combine them, just because i don’t like Nexo knight as much as i love Chima, does not mean that i don’t want to see the three themes come together in unity.
