I mean⌠Iâd like molds that look exactly like that, at that same sizeâŚ
But pieces like that were what nearly killed LEGO in '03. Those wings would just be large lumps of plastic that could only work as one thing.
You assume I care? All I care about is having amazing parts to MOC with.
Well
They wouldnât be very amazing
If they had one predefined purpose
Theyâd be amazing for MOCs that need that predefined purpose. We still use the âbatâ wing piece that connects with an axle , I donât see how this would be any different. Itâs not like LEGO doesnât still make specialized molds, they just keep it to a minimum. I want that mold to be part of that minimum, because itâd be great for constraction MOCs.
Thereâs a pretty drastic difference between thin bat wings that could be used for multiple types of MOCs and giant lumps of plastic shaped and detailed to look like realistic wings that can serve one and only one purpose.
Not really, honestly. Theyâd be solid, likely unpainted lumps. Theyâd like parts to an action figure.
Itâd be much easier just to make wings using thin plastic or actual parts, as these can be easily customized, not weigh a ton, and wouldnât be very expensive. Bare in mind how difficult it would be to make a giant wing piece that a joint can still support.
Guys⌠just let me have this. itâs not like me wanting a piece exactly like that is doing harm to you. Right now youâre kiiind of opinion shaming, and it seems to be just because you donât like specialized parts. Like, I get that, and I understand your position, but thereâs no need to âcorrectâ what I like.
Like, youâre acting as if LEGO will see my comment and decide: âOh, this one random dude on the internet wants this, better go against our business practices and start mass producing pieces like that!â
Look man, you already shared your opinion on my opinion. That was fine and dandy. The thing is, even after I clarified that it was just a personal preference and that I wasnât speaking from a practical viewpoint, everyone persisted. Like, from a business perspective I can agree with you, but it doesnât mean that I still wonât like specialized parts. Thatâs just my personal preference. Nothing wrong with either viewpoint. Thereâs a line between sharing a counter opinion, and trying to make someone else change their opinion.
So, in other words, we canât disagree with your opinion. Okay.
Iâm kind of curious if weâll be getting a set thatâs similar to Merlokâs library that will connect to the Fortrex. It could give new life to an already sweet set.
Isnât the point of a Message Boards to share and discuss opinions?
The same thing could be said for any opinion on this entire boards, but that doesnât mean we must agree. Nothing is wrong with disagreeing with something as long as youâre logical and not rude about it.
The only snag is figuring out how it will connect. I donât want the same thing over and over again, but unfortunately the Fortrex wasnât designed to be modular. The idea would be amazing though.
How do you think expansions for Jestroâs lair would work?
I get you donât like sound arguments against your opinion, but seriously. Having giant pieces of plastic for one particular purpose would be expensive and going against the fundamental principles of the company itself. The piece itself wouldnât be too amazing either, as itâd only be two of an expensive pair of wings found in one large set, at one, set scale. Dunno how you see that as a good MOCing piece, but thatâs just me.
Iâve never gotten a NK set, but some of them look really good.
Seeing how the whole left part of the lair can disconnect and connect with another segment that shares the connection, I think itâs more than possible for it to get an expansion. I guess the only issue would be clashing styles, since the purple and trans. blue might look a little odd next to Jestroâs lairâs trans. orange and red.
Iâm not trying to change your opinion. Iâm just throwing my differing thoughts into the kettle. Nowhere in any of my posts did I say âYou need to change your opinion because itâs wrong.â All I did was give my take on why I think it wouldnât work out too well, as did Joe.
Iâm perfectly fine with sound arguments, and like Iâve said again and again, my opinion is a very impractical one. Thatâs the thing though. I never said it wasnât.
Sigh

You should really get one, theyâre some of the best yet without costing as much as Star Wars
We assume theyâre totally done with those colors, I wouldnât be too surprised if they still introduced some volcanic sets (given that we really donât know what the change in scenery is all about yet).
Iâd like to know where exactly I mentioned that you must change your opinion to match ours. Iâm reading over these posts again, and I donât see it at all.
something that i find lame about Jestro and Monstroxâs HQ, is that unlike the Evil Mobile the HQ, look more simple in design, and does not look like a HQ, but a cargo vehicle that carries a large head sculpture of Jestroâs face.
Oh and after having taken a closer look at Jestroâs face⌠i think its transparent.
hmm⌠seems like the baby blue on his body might actualy be the lightning from Monstrox flowing through him.
But you havenât said it was.
Not that I saw, at least.
I like it because itâs just so substantial. Itâs evil and it looks like it. LOTS of gimmicks sprinkled throughout, and itâs just a nice display. I also adore the idea of expanding it.
