I think someone wants the Ghost Crawler to be real. Thus, this was created. I think it’s obvious the part count doesn’t match up.

I actually think this rumoured “Mask hunter” may just be a Toa that came to Okoto early. After arrival, no one noticed he existed, so he went to find Masks and sold them to the Protectors.
His element is light.

All of that is just your idea, though.
As much as I’d love to see Takanuva in the new BIONICLE, at the same time I don’t feel it’s necessary. If anything, i’d love to see this rumored “Mask Hunter” be the right-hand man of Makuta, like how the Shadowed One has Ancient.
Oh, and maybe there are more mask hunters, which Makuta would call his “Dark Hunters.”

That’s a good concept, though, note; this is the Gold hero. LEGO’s probably going to make him into the main hero.

Ekimu’s a gold hero. And I’m pretty sure he’s gonna be helping out the Toa in their adventures, as well. Sure he’s short, but he can still help.

I get the feeling Ekimu is going to be a lot more like Takua. First he’s just a protector, but then he becomes the most powerful toa.

I would be happy if it’s Takanuva as the Main Guy.
I do agree they’ll do a mash each year, and the red on top would fit (maybe purple-red or just purple, then full red for ultimate power), but still feeling the 4chan one to be more believable
@MiraculousPrime I’m actually hoping for a makuta-mctoran callback, having a black/dark chrome/trans-dark red protector released early 2017, then a larger, titan-like one with the mask of ultimate power
(But really, just imaging a black/trans dark red prootector mask)

See, I’m a man of many fandoms. The one I take most part in aside from BIONICLE is Transformers. And granted, while the plastics used by each company - Hasbro and Lego - are respectively different from each other, the LAST thing any of us want is chrome joints. No, no no no no… must not happen, must never happen.

Well me too, they would probably just chrome the outer part of the shell, chroming the bones would be the dumbest thing to do

But even that would be bad. Chrome paint (on all sides of the spectrum) is notorious for peeling off. Unless Lego did something revolutionary, chrome ANYTHING is a very unwise choice.
Heck, even chrome-y plastic is extremely fragile.

Yeah, I fortunately don’t; but, I have experienced the frailty of metal-vacuumized plastic - the “chrome-y” plastic I mentioned before - first-hand. I broke a peg that was made of the stuff within a few hours of buying the toy - and all I tried to do was transform it!
For this reason, the idea of vacuumized-metal CCBS plates/joints is not a good one to me. However, I can’t disagree with the fact that it would look stunningly beautiful. Again, I wonder if Lego can find a revolutionary new way to incorporate plastics that look like this, but aren’t so frail.
